Some time passed during the morning as she parked her car in the driveway, grabbed her things, walked away from her car and walked into a center that would change her love life forever.
"Welcome to Sissy Robo inc, how may I serve you today?" A cute male receptionist asked Amanda as she looked at the man.
"Hi, um I'm looking for the owner of this place can you help me?" Amanda replied and then asked.
"Oh the owner, yes I'll call her right away." The receptionist dialed her number and called her in.
"Mrs. Spacek, there is a woman here to see you." The receptionist said.
"Good, I'll be right over." The owner replied and then hung up as the receptionist placed the phone back in its holder.
A woman who dressed in a grey suit with pin-up brown hair and glasses while having turquoise blue eyes as it starred directly at the receptionist then at Amanda carrying a book and a checklist in her hands.
"Mrs. Cosgrove, it's such a pleasure to meet you, how are you?" The owner asked as she reached out her left hand to shake Amanda's hand.
"I'm doing well how are you, doctor?" Amanda replied and then asked.
"Good, I'm doing great." The owner replied.
As Betsy and Amanda were talking they stepped towards a door that stated "Robotic Laboratory - 5781B" on the top as it moved across the wood board electronically.
The door opened to reveal a high-tech and well put together laboratory filled with models, life-sized tubes and holographic displays of robotic equipment and organs.
"Wow." Amanda said under her breath as she looked around the lab as she was following Mrs. Spacek.
"What is all this?" Amanda asked Betsy.
"This is the state of the art, machinery and technology." Mrs. Spacek replied.
"All we do as a company is make lonely individuals dreams come true." She added.
"So... when are you going to give Jeordie a body?" Amanda asks again.
"Well, this." Mrs. Spacek replied as she pressed a few buttons and a cryogenic chamber opened up a clean glass tube to reveal a 5' 11" (1.8 m) white, 49-year old, human male robot with brown eyes and black medium length hair stood before them both as the robot slowly opened his eyes and blinked.
"Hello." The robot said as it turned its head to look at Amanda.
"Amanda, this is Jeordie White, your lover." Mrs. Spacek presented the robot to her as Amanda gazed into his eyes, longingly and as she blushed red Mrs. Spacek noticed and asked "Amanda, are you blushing at him?"
"Eh? W-what?! No I'm not!" Amanda replied stubborn but embarrassed.
"Well, he's all yours if you sign all the paperwork." Mrs. Spacek replied as she ended her sentence with a smirk.
"Right, deal!" Amanda replied.
A few hours later passed and Amanda signed all the consent papers and paperwork and soon enough Jeordie was packaged and was held in a human sized crate as it was placed in Amanda's trunk Betsy Spacek walked up to Amanda and said "Pleasure doing business with you, Mrs. Cosgrove." Mrs. Spacek shook Amanda's hand.
"Pleasures all mine, I'd hope to see you at my wedding?" Amanda replied and then asked.
"Oh, I'll be there but you better RSVP my seat." Mrs. Spacek replied.
"Don't worry, I'll make you my bridesmaid. Sounds good?" Amanda reassured and then asked.
"Sounds perfect, take care!" Mrs. Spacek replied as she waved goodbye to Amanda as she started up her car and drove off only to go back home.
