"In the near future, perhaps, you won't shy away from your feelings."

Emily's multi-storey house is unapologetically modern. The windows are large enough to let in maximum light, with clean lines- the colours cream brown and grey, and an open-concept layout that allows the interior of the living room to be showcased outside, offering a warm glow in the darkness of the night. The roofline slopes to the left, peaking a couple of metres from the edge.
My attention from the house is drawn when I hear a shout coming from inside the house. Subconsciously pulling Tara to my side, I look at Ayan whose hand stops mid-air in front of the door.
"I'm not going to!" Sasha's loud voice makes us glance at each other nervously.
"Shall we leave? I think we came at the wrong time..." I suggest to Ayan, who, before he can say something, is sidestepping to make way for Sasha as she zooms past us angrily.
