"Your love gives me the courage to fall head over heels for you."
...
"Ye-No. I don't want that," I mutter, my face involuntarily heating up. When I look up at his face, he blinks to hide the hurt in his eyes.
I end up sighing. "Fine, I'll tell you the truth," I tell him, and the unsmiling expression on his face doesn't falter. "I might want it, okay? I don't know myself. I don't even want to know. It won't be so bad but I'm not sure right now. And I don't, uh, want to kiss you or for you to kiss me until I'm sure."
"God, this was embarrassing!" I groan, covering my face. I'm sure that my face looks crimson red by now. I hang my head low and let my hair frame my face from the other side so that he can't notice me blushing.
We both are quiet for a second and then, when I hear him breathe out a small laugh, I finally look up at him to see him grinning at me, his eyes looking brighter.
