Chapter 17 - Myran To The Rescue

"You are born in the palace." Guinevere's two glowing eyes rounded as a projection began to sink into her mind. She started getting into the traces of Miya's life.

Guinevere knows a lot about how to recover a long lost traces. She learned how to read the traces of a person's life from her late father, who was the most talented man Guinevere had ever known. But what she saw at this Miya girl was something completely different from what she expected.

"What palace? What else are you seeing?"

Cyclops and Digu exchanged glances. They might have seen it too, whatever projection Guinevere had in her sight. But so far of what Cyclops knew he should do something to stop Guinevere's projection. By the reaction in her face, she has seen enough.

He cast his gaze once again at Digu. Hoping that the creature would say something that would make them stop because Guinevere's face seemed even more dumbfounded by whatever flashed into her vision. Cyclops wasn't sure Guinevere should have gone that deep. But whatever she saw at the beginning, she saw something that made her interested to continue her exploration. Deeper into Miya's head.

But then Cyclops turned his gaze from Digu and his eyes immediately rounded to the view he saw. Digu followed Cyclops' line of sight and he saw it too. Miya's two eyes started to glow.

"Tell her to stop," said Digu as he approached Miya. "Harley. Get her to stop!"

"I can't! She has to stop herself! If I cut ties over both Guinevere will die!"

"Call her name! I'll try a summoning spell!" Digu chants a spell in small whispers which brings up a thread that ties Miya and Guinevere's necks. The thread was long until it fell to the floor and glowed bluish. "Cyclops." Summon Digu while grabbing the thread. Cyclops stepped forward and took the thread in his grasp. "What's wrong? Why are you suddenly panicking?!"

Digu turned his head with trembling eyes. "Miya shouldn't know who she is. She sees what Guinevere see." Digu said as Miya's body began to glow brighter and brighter. "I can not enter!" Said Cyclops as he threw down the thread that burned the gloves he was wearing. "Guinevere has gone too deep." Said Cyclops as he grabbed something from his bag. He took out a bottle of purple liquid and walked towards Miya.

"Cut it out, Harley!" Cyclops said while trying to make Miya swallow the purple liquid. But the efforts were in vain. The liquid was poured out, falling over Miya's cheeks and neck which started convulsing. "Guinevere can die!" Screamed Harley. "Can not!"

"Cut it out, Harley!" Said Digu, clutching Harley's upper arm. "Otherwise we'll die with your Guinevere!"

Harley swallowed hard. He calculated the loss he would incur if he could no longer possess Guinevere's ability that would go along with the girl's life. But his mind was immediately hit by the fact that if Digu was right with what he said, Harley would lose more if he died with all of them in this room. "You have to explain why I have to do this, Digu!" Harley said after he was sure of his decision.

The little man took out a stick with the head of a red jewel from a storage box that Cyclops initially mistook for a coffee table. The man wrapped the stick around the string of connection threads between Miya and Guinevere's thoughts that was made clear to the eyes by Digu earlier then pulled away the thread with all his might. As the threads untied, an invisible explosive force came out from Miya's body, repelling Cyclops, Digu and Harley towards the wall behind them.

Miya blinked for a moment as the glow vanished from her body. But her head felt too sore and Miya collapsed when Cyclops and Digu got up from the hard ground. They sharpened their vision which was blurred due to the effect of the hard impact against the wall and then looked at Miya who was already unconscious on the floor.

They turned to a coughing Harley as he tried to get up and fix his jacket. He turned to the faintly glowing but unconscious Miya and then the man took a deep breath, trying to catch his gasping breath back to normal.

Harley is a good man with a conscience, Cyclops thought to himself. He confirmed that because him, Digu and Miya were taken by Harley to his house which is in a different dimension from the dimension where the casino location. The man was grimacing as he pressed a bag of ice against his swollen forehead.

"Digu. Explain to me." Harley said as he pushed the ice pack away from his forehead. "What do you want coming with this Frauser girl? And why does she have the power of light with her?"

Digu turned to Harley for a moment and then looked up at the moving scene outside the small window to his right. "I'm sure you already know his condition." Said Digu.

"I already have thoughts. But I shouldn't be sure. I want you or Cyclops to say it straight away. As a Mountain Witch perhaps? An official announcement?"

Cyclops turned to Digu, waiting for directions. Who should speak first? Digu didn't flinch. He was probably wondering what kind of sentence could contain everything that had happened to him, Cyclops and Miya even at the short time after they had secretly met.

"Miya, is a blessed child." Digu said within his sigh. "I wish to tell you how all of this happened but that might took too much of time to explain. Her presence destroyed the boundaries that created in the new age of land creation."

Digu took a glance over Harley's reaction. A distinguished face of disbelieve, "she is The Prodigy." Harley whimpered, glaring over Miya. "Wha- What if we killed her now? Will all the boundaries balance itself again?"

"That's ridiculous." Cyclops shook his head, "the boundaries need to be mend back together by the one who destroyed it. Within her own hand. Miya needs to fix this by herself."

"If she needs to do that, why did you both stopped her from knowing who she suppose to be?"

Digu and Cyclops, again, exchanged their glances. "Tha- that might hurt her. A shocking truth that she is the enemy of every living one within the land. The one who she suppose to fight against as to become the Soldier of Light. The memories will just be a faint order to tell herself to vanish."

Harley sighed, pinching his nose. His head aches as he thought back on the sacrifice he needed to do. "Then why did you come to me? What is actually within that head of yours, Digu? What is suppose to be your plan?"

"I need your help. As a Myran."

"Oh for the sake of the sky's light." Harley pinched his nose bone harder. "As a Myran," he replied.

"I'm asking as for the honored Family of Myran."

"Digu. We both know that I'm not the pillar of our family. Ask father if you needed the family's help."

"You know how it is in the family. Father would never want to talk to me. He only talks to the heir and heiress for the sake of family's name heritage."

Harley landed his sight over Digu, seeing him not as Mr. Harley, the owner of casinos, rather as Harley, Digu's older brother. "I know you'd say that. Father wished to talk to you too, Digu. He simply restrained himself. He has fear that he might push you further each time he says words you don't wish to hear."

"No."

"Oh, you're being so denial. You don't need to lie. You're scared to talk to him, aren't you? You're just making excuses so then I'll be the one who talks for you."

"You don't understand, Harley.-"

"Then, for the love of the light, make me understand."

"I'll be asking helps for Miya. She is an outsider of Myran. Nevertheless, she is an outsider who also almost destroyed all of father's and your business upon her arrival. I wish for you to help me and be by my side."

Harley squint at Digu, he knew something, Harley thought to himself. "Just what did you see? In this Miya girl? What secrets are you keeping away from me?"

Digu retrieved his words as he shut his mouth. Then he turn to Cyclops who immediately received the sign. Digu nodded, giving Cyclops the permission to tell his vision.

"Digu is right, Harley. I'm the one who saw everything." Cyclops started to open his voice. "I saw everything from the time she took her first breath."

"Tell me what I suppose to know."

"We have to help her know how to see as a Prodigy. She needs to acknowledge and claim herself first before she claim the title. She is lost at the moment like the adolescent she is. Madame Evangeline took an amazing role to nurture her as to become stronger than ever. But her power is one thing Madame Evangeline was not dare to acknowledge."

"And that might be the biggest mistake that Madame Evangeline ever done."

"As she started to try restrained Miya's power in the hopes that the power disappear from untrained Miya, the power rather do the opposite. It started to grow bigger, overflowing within Miya's blood. Making her completely controlled by the power. She might destroyed by the power within her."

"Isn't restraining her power suppose to be a good idea?"

"No, it isn't. At all. As the Prodigy, she is the holder of all the glow of the skies. She can control the moon and lasso the sun. She will have the power over everything she claim to be hers. A Prodigy needed to be nurtured as a Prodigy, not as a simple soldier. Madame Evangeline tried her best, within the knowledge she has. I'm just guessing that this is the time when Miya needed to be nurtured as The Prodigy. She already shaped perfectly as a fighter, but what about the true mission she had as she arrived? The mission to rebound all the powers within the land?

She never knew that perfectly. It makes her feel lost. As the power in her grow wild, the power of the darkness thicken within the skies. She holds all the faith and hopes the skies might hold. When she loses hope for herself, we'll lose the last light of our skies."
