"Wait, a prince?" crystal questioned and that was when it hit me"Ezra" in an instant he looked at me with wide eyes, thinking his secret was out but before both of us could react, we heard a loud explosion coming from the north of the palace, Ezra looked at me, then at the palace, where we heard the bang, withing a swift moment, he wrapped his one wing around me and hoisted us up in the sky.
What I saw shook me
A war had already began and I was not there to start it

Smoke swirled across the palace burning my eyes, arrows were everywhere, but thankfully, no dead bodies, yet..
I could feel Ezra's gaze burn through me, but right now, we needed a plan...
"let me link Jonah, check your surrounding Ezra, let's see what we're dealing with"
I heard a grunt and I took that as my answer
"Drop me, Ezra" and to that, he just held me closer
I softly sighed and concentrated on Jonah
"Jonah, What the hell happened?!"
"Somehow the barrier was broken and 100s of fully armed soldiers came in, I have no idea from where the fire started, but what I do know is that there are people inside, I have to go, stay safe Ira" and with that, he closed the mind link.
We zoomed past the windows to make sure the palace was empty and it was not, hundreds we're trapped there, the only thing I could do was control the fire and it was no easy task, it kinda has its own mind but I have to give it a try but that was when I heard a yelp, and I tried to look back and saw an arrow sticking out of Ezras wing and that was when I lost it. NOBODY HURTS MY MATE
Ezra's wings covered me as he tried to secure me from getting hurt.
"Let go Ezra" I tried but he didn't listen
"I said LET GO" my eye colour changed and I knew that I lost my wolf, now I had no way, all I could do was should sit back and watch.
"When I say let go, u let go" Crystal roared at him but he didn't even look a bit concerned
"Crystal, he's a prince, be careful," I said to crystal but all I heard was a grunt
I could feel his gaze burn through me, I didn't know why but I shrugged, you could see a hint of smile on him and I knew, we got him.
He softly loosened his wings and cocked his head as If asking 'what now'
Crystal finally gave in and i took him by his face and said
"leave me, I can save myself, circle the perimeter, if you see anyone in danger, take them to the south side, that's where Jonah is, and before you say something, Jonah is my second in command, do what I say, let's get this shit over with, we have wasted our time as it is"
He gave me soft smile and took off into the sky
okay, now its on me, okay all we have to do concentrate.
I closed my eyes and tried my best to cut of the screams of my people
Slowly but surely I knew that the fire was calming down, I opened my eyes to see that the fire has allowed me to pass through, I stepped in and thankfully I didn't get burned.
"U iubes me dimittere populum"
(I command u to release the people)
the smoke resisted for a bit, but it lifted, enough for the people to cross, I held the smoke as high as I could, my body burned with exhaustion but I held on, when I realised that all the people have crossed, I released the smoke.
"Cease " I chanted and slowly the smoke vanished, the fire had calmed, and the switched had already to start to extinguish it
I looked back to see children looking up at me with wonder, a soft feeling came surrounded me and I gave a little smile to calm their nerves.
"Heed my words, mothers hold ur dear ones tightly, I'm going to escort them first"
True to my words, the mothers held their dear ones close and I concentrated on lifting them up, I could hear little yelps and laughter of the children as they levitated.
I looked up to see Ezra standing there, I cocked my head and he nodded to my signs, he zoomed towards them carrying them all by himself outside of the fire, the men surrounded the women and escorted them while I took care of the fire, once I made that everyone's been escorted, I shifted into my wolf and alerted everyone of my arrival, a long howl resolved in the forest and I knew that was Exra, he had shifted.
