Her view -
A tall lady stood inside my canvas, I saw her observing me keenly. First I thought she was a maiden, but then typical maidens didn't look as confident as her. Not forget to remark, she's pretty ethereal. She had lengthy raven hair, a cold complexion, and black eyes.
"Your Highness "She smiled as soon she found me watching her. I smiled back at her. " His Majesty sent me, to treat you," I noticed a small pot in her hand, I looked on,
" What's your name? "
" Rosella, you may call me Rose" she proceeded ahead, carefully removed my cloak, and generally took permission to lift my clothes from the back.
" And rosella! What are you? " I asked
" I am a soldier "
Soi-Soilder!
The girl's teasing me!
" I know it's not very usual in many kingdoms but Ashreth is different " she continued, almost reading my thoughts.
" So it's normal there? "
" Yes, Your Highness "
It wasn't bad, I mean not bad at all! It meant they didn't discriminate between men and women or I could hope so... As she said it wasn't very usual to me because all of my life I was told to stay behind doors. I belong to another world.
When she started putting the thick paste on my upper back I unexpectedly felt heat rushed there. I flinched.
" You were stabbed? " she raised
" Umm, yes "
" And it's very recent " I felt her observing my back again while the flashes of war came in my head back. It happened during the war!
The war against Ashreth. He didn't cause much damage to our kingdom though.
Abruptly something hit me!
" How did you know that I was injured in my back? I didn't tell you " I snapped turning immediately at her
" Huh. Ahh... His Majesty told me " she was quick yet she mumbled. I could see she wasn't prepared much.
But wait!
How did he know?
Neither did he know me before a week not he had known that I was injured. He didn't even spend sufficient time with me to know about it, then?
I turned back to Rosella, she was watching me suspiciously. Something wasn't right with them.
Everything was fishy!
" Oh, alright! " I decided to smile if something was wrong even I couldn't let them know but find out myself.
"I may take my leave " she giggled before escorting away. The last laugh she gave me was out of pure innocence, could there anything be wrong with her?
" Rose!" I called
" Yes, Your Highness!
" Don't call this... My name is Sia " I said, her expression changed from curious to shocked " I- I can't call you by your name " she stammered
" Yes you can " I pressed, she nodded opposite " and that's an order! "
She furrowed her brows and looked at me " So Rose, I have lots of questions going through my mind after I got married and I barely found any Lady here, and those I got hardly tried to talk with me. "
" I know you...." I glared at her, to let her put together things before she spoke " I mean you have a lot of confusion and I will try my best to clear them as much as I can.
" Why those ladies don't try to communicate vastly?"
" Because you are an outsider and you need to make your place in their heart, in fact, you have to prove yourself worthy for every va... " I looked
She looked back
" for ?"
" for.. for everyone's value " she didn't want to say this.
] " Then why are you here to help me ?"
" Everyone has their own point of view, I just thought of giving you one before and" she looked at me "Don't think that we don't like outsiders, civilians are looking for a worthy queen... moreover, not everyone is allowed near you "
"Why ?"
" His Majesty's wish !" I rolled my eyes, she giggled again witnessing my stress
" Do you know how many days it's going to take to reach Ashteth ?"
" Umm, Maybe a couple of weeks " she responded
" oh " But then It didn't feel right. I heard Ashreth was a Winterland, where Nil Adria was a typical kingdom. " Isn't it too early? I mean it's only been a week and we travel in the night, right ? "
She looked nervous but then smiled " ye... Yes, it's been a week Your High... Princess Sia but as I told Asreth is different than other kingdoms. In fact, they say we are ahead of time " I folded my hands together and attempted to formulate her words, she smiled faintly watching me.
" Our kingdom progress faster, we can travel quicker as well. Let the time pass, you will adapt our systems. " Her nails digging in her skin. Finally finishing the conversation, nodded to her and she left.
I pursued her behind, as I was getting an adequate amount of noises and fuse. Getting out the first thing I saw was men operating around, some were carrying woods in hand, some were busy making their tents. A group of men didn't even care for tents, they just on the grass. Couldn't those people travel the whole day and do those at night?
Ahah! They needed their king's permission and no wonder what a man their Majesty happened to be? I don't even understand why people called, cunning!
Fool!
Similarly, my eyes came across Edward. Who was sitting on his legs, busy attempting to tie a rope in the tree? I sat on the wood of another fallen tree near the demised bonfire, that was maybe lighted up during the night. Soft soil touched my toe. Once he was done building his own tent, he turned back. As soon as his gaze hit me, they looked troubled. However, he said nothing but turned to another man, I guess messenger. His hands shifted upwards and spread around during the conversation, looked like he was discussing a plan. While I was a little far to listen to them so the only thing I could do was to observe him carefully. Occasionally we exchanged stares. One thing I could tell watching him talking with his men was really flexible and they also seemed honestly relaxed around him. I couldn't assume what made his image so hyped and ugly. Surely He was nothing like my brothers, the real title owners of bloodsuckers. Shortly I got irritated sitting idly, the day was passing. I decided to walk by him. I reached near I eavesdropped them.
" What happened about the sac.... Did Ra... Found them?" Edward spoke
" His Majesty Raiden found those. They were given to enhance the spell. " Messenger's words appeared clear as I fetched forward " Great" Edward uttered glancing the side of falls.
"I have a message from Her Highness "
I stopped dead in my spot!
Something inside me was wrenching, my chest tightened, my legs begged to give up. The beautiful I was admiring moments ago felt like crashed on me.
Her Highness!
No! No! No!
It was not possible! He had a wife before?
I-I was the second one in his life!
No!
I..... I..... I can't... believe... I?
" Go on " I heard
"she demanded the rare gem from Nil Adria " The one and only stone, set on my father's crown?
Why I was feeling betrayed?
It was supposed to be common, kings having several wives. All this while I had known this, then?
Because I didn't believe people or after learning those stories all years I let myself deceive me with a single meeting?
Why I was crying?
No! I am not crying!
I can't!
" What shall I answer? "
" You won't I will! "
" Your Majesty! ..... When you are returning back to the realm? "
" I need a break, Barton!..... " I took the hint of him stopping, looking at him I saw the barrier sliding and my eyes connected to the offender.
Suddenly fear stroke me again!
Fear of him witnessing my miserable side, my worst nightmare, I being weak! I will never let that happen, ever! I watched those cold eyes approaching me, I shaded my emotions.
" You want something? " My heart pained, too prepared to bleed anytime
" gea! " he lifted his asking through gesture " I wanted to talk " I looked, he was indifferent
" I am tired " all I got the answer
" But I guess not anymore, I am exhausted as well " I lied, without talking further I turned on my heels to proceed to my tent, while I felt his chill gaze set on me.
I peeked behind, Edward was entering his den. I changed my direction from my point to the woods. Picking up a stone, I started marking every tree on my way, just in case if I lose my way.
I needed time, a little time for myself to get along. I preferred to heal and the only thing that could give me stability was the clam and serene nature.
The climate had come off to be corresponding with my dilemma as my senses had been darkening. It had been the mid-day, raised sun upon the head yet the golden rays couldn't pass wild intense branches of trees making it a little dark. It had been quite cold, I began to feel refreshed in lush green, adequate essence of blossoms sparked all over the wind. I pulled myself down under a big tree resting my head on it.
What if I wasn't a princess?
How was the life of a normal girl?
I started feeling relaxed, my eyes exhilarated, everything was numb expect the melody of birds chirping and the murmur of water, delicate grass related to my skin.
I drifted....
Darkness! The first thing I noticed in the blink.
Shady chill!
Where I had been?
What's happening?
Instantly a flash rushed through my head, reminding me every damn thing.
Sierra Alexandra, you invited trouble!
A great clap of appreciation for you. Where's my father? He could clap on my cheeks for the amazing stunt or Arthur, to tie me with a tree in the harsh sunlight without food and water. No worries! Now my husband will do the work...
Umm, if he could find me!
I stood up to observe the tree I slept under... My eyes expanded as soon as I saw it, there was not even a sign of any mark.
How could that possible?
I-I myself marked it?
Looking around I observed the place, it wasn't the same, trees looked different and gigantic than usual.
Something was wrong, terribly wrong there! Hot was raising to an unbearable extent, it had been strange!
Did I sense.... energy?
" Huh... Huh, " I heard, my blood chilled!
What?
It's nothing, I told myself.
But then I heeded, a faint sound of sobs had been coming floating in the flush air.
My breath went shorter, mind blank!
I was not alone here! In the middle of the woods...
It was a lady!
Someone needed help!
I gathered myself forcefully, attempting to hear the source of the sound and follow.....
My heart was slamming against my chest.
I took a step ahead,
Then another one,
I crossed a few trees, darkness spreading around, the whimpering sound was getting cleary and close!
closer!
Ultimately I stood in front of a tree, something gloaming there, I scoped ahead a little, I saw.....
Back of a lady, head buried between knees, long hairs trailed in the air, she was crying.
I slowly put my hands on her.....
It was unusual, as my skin touched her shoulder while she looked at me.
" What are you doing here? " I asked,
breathing in relaxation.
" Help!" she told, she seemed sickly pale, eyes swallowed and red.
" Yes," I tried soothing putting my other hand on her another side, kneeling.
" Help! "
" I will you "
" Help! " every time her voice came out, iced my blood.
My instinct told me, something was wrong!
Was I being afraid?
No, I was not!
I stared behind her, a dark figure passed behind me.
Something's behind you!
Something's behind you!
Something's behind you, my mind screamed.
" Help! " gazing her, I turned back...
But there was nothing, it's my own shadow.
But... The Lady!
I immediately looked on, she wasn't there!
Branches of tree rippled, I glanced up and the next moment my I froze...
She was hanged upside down on the tree, her dark hairs dropping on me, her eyeballs missing the only thing there was hellfire.
Suddenly the trunk broke, the monster was on me, I crashed the ground and pained rushed through me as I watched the demon bringing claws to my chest, something was hardly holding my voice back, yet with my utter force, I screamed loudly. The monster began screaming as well piercing my ears, creating waves in the air, leaves started striding.
My voice effected it, I growled again.
It held it's skull, claws moving from my chest.
I stopped! Shutting my eyes I realized a sharp pin tugging my skin.
"Ahphane ooyamathi " I shouted in unison, someone was whispering this in my ears.
Then the unexpected thing happens, The force on my chest was being pulled away.
" Mother" I mumbled the last word, my breath reduced
" Moona gydèn eafora" I heard before darkness started appearing in my vision.
