Kagerou looked thoughtful. "We'll think about it. Anything else?"
There was a pause, before Cayne spoke. "Is an apology from Moonlight a valid request?"
"Apology?"
"It seems like many of your pack members still hold a grudge." Cayne said, glancing at the cats who were staring at him from the corner of the room.
Kaguya let out a helpful purr.
"I won't force your pack to apologize -we've all hurt each other in different ways- but if you want to, sure."
Cayne nodded. "Thanks."
"If you will, please accept the Bloodmoon pack's apologies as well," Aai said.
"Definitely." He didn't mention that hardly any of his pack members even cared anymore. That was the kind of community Moonlight was made out of, forgive, but not forget. Most found it tiring to hold a grudge anyway.
Alina grinned. "So will you help us?"
Kagerou nodded at Alina. "Of course. We have a… history with Akui and the Fujihanas, after all."
Thank you, but we still owe you for this anyway." Alina replied, Cayne with a matching expression.
The Beta merely shook his head with a small smile. "Well, if you will excuse us, we must go and find Kaito and see if he can tell us anything."
"Once again, thank you." Linda said as they all stood.
"Our pleasure." The Betas opened the door and left, the cats running after them, meeting Kaito at the end of the corridor, where they disappeared into another room.
Korū appeared barely five seconds after.
"Seems like we're alive for now." Alina said.
"Whether Cole and Liam are is the real question." Linda said, sending Cayne a questioning look.
"They haven't contacted me yet." He said.
"It's okay." Korū grinned evilly. "We can always leave them behind if they don't want to wake the fuck up."
"I'll mindlink them." Cayne said, looping all of them in so they could hear. "Are you guys alive?"
"Fine and dandy." Cole replied.
"Where are you?" Linda asked.
"Training centre or something. I don't know." Liam said.
Alina, Linda and Cayne all looked expectantly at Korū.
Korū was silent for a few seconds, then went "What the fuck." He hesitated for a moment, then set off down the corridor to find the two idiots.
The other three trailed after, wondering how long the two guys would stay "fine and dandy".
There were two people sparring in the middle of the training centre when they got there, with two others standing at the side, watching. Korū stiffened when he saw them, then he sighed and called to Cole and Liam, who were standing a distance away. "Oi, bastards, what the fuck are you doing here?"
The four people looked over, smirks growing on their faces when they saw Korū. "So, you're back."
"Yeah, fuck off, I wasn't even talking to you."
Cayne raised an eyebrow at Korū in question.
"Stop staring at me," he growled at Cayne.
"Why don't you come and train with us?" one of them drawled. "We'll let you leave alive, of course."
"No." He turned to leave.
Instantly, the four of them surrounded him, cruel smiles on their faces. "Well, I'm afraid we're not giving you a choice, fag. Besides," the first guy continued, "aren't you the strongest person our age around here? Or are you as cowardly as your fathe-"
The next thing anyone knew, the guy was on the ground, bleeding from a gash that stretched from his forehead to his jaw. Korū's katana was out, the tip of the blade gleaming with blood. "Talk shit about me all you like, but don't insult my family."
"Low blow, guys. Where's your honour?" Alina chided, appraising the wolves before her.
"Who are you even?" one of them, Akashi, questioned. "Stay out of Bloodmoon business, stranger."
"Oi, Korū, since you're so great," another hissed, "Take this." His reaper sliced through the air towards Korū's face.
Korū ducked out of the way, the curved blade of the reaper slicing a gash in the last guy's shoulder and the first guy's arm instead. "How impressive, Hayamu-san," he said sarcastically, the contempt in the 'san's adding to the spite in his tone. "Now you've hurt Reiyou-san and Mizuto-san."
Everyone else held back snickers.
"Fucking fag," Reiyou hissed. "You're going to hell today."
Korū lunged, blade gleaming, slashing at the four of them. Wild screeches filled the air, blood, both his and his opponents', spraying the ground. "You were saying?" he snarled. "You know, for a bunch of Eta who had more time than me to train, you are pretty shit. Like seriously," he added, when Mizuto accidentally smacked Akashi, "stop hitting each other."
Cole, Cayne, Liam and Alina were all out laughing, while Linda had a smile on her face, despite that fact there were four werewolves bleeding right in front of them.
"You don't need to prove anything to them, Korū. Careful." Linda warned, glancing at Alina, who shrugged, "No permanent damage. If we had a no assault at all rule, everyone would be in jail."
Korū ignored Linda and proceeded to deepen the gash on Reiyou's shoulder. "Ya know, I know the way to your hearts," he announced.
"Hah?" The four guys responded, confused.
"I just gotta do this." He poked the katana at their chests. "Right here, and you're dead."
Alina snorted loudly. "I never knew your sense of humour existed, but I kinda wished it didn't."
Two minutes later, the fight was over. The four were on the ground, all of them, including Korū, soaked in each other's blood. Korū's bandages from his fight with the Alpha were torn and hung loosely from his arms as he stood over his opponents. With a smirk, he stalked away. Hikari appeared from around the corner, took in the scene, and rushed over to Korū with a startled screech. "Korū? What-?"
"You know, I won't be able to help you if you go too far one day," Alina commented.
"You know, I don't need your help. Also someone call the Theta, these bastards are gonna die, and I don't want them dead yet."
Hikari gave Alina a sideway glance, "No one tried to stop you?" she asked Korū, who gave a curt shake of his head without turning back to look at her.
Alina shook her head, laughing, as Linda bumped her shoulder, a dark look momentarily passing through the latter's face.
The red-haired man Hikari was talking to the day before raced over with a bunch of Iotas and took the guys to the hospital. Korū looked too proud.
"So… what's up next on the itinerary?" Cole asked.
"Just... do what you want, I'll get a message to the dragons that we're visiting tomorrow." Hikari replied.
