During the fight with Kamarius, Sebastiene was able to enter his portal which allowed him to enter his secret laboratory. The laboratory which was deep underground held many experiments and people from different race were used as lab rats. Karciel was not only a necromancer but also an alchemist. He was experimenting on how to make stronger undead and how to use parts of the body for different purposes. This was the reason he could use different elements as well as summon a god-forged weapon.
Kamarius was able to take a part of another person's body and be able to use their abilities. Sebastiene's female demon friend was one of those experiments. Kamarius was able to take her arm and kept her barely alive inside a huge tank filled with unknown liquid. She was asleep inside with no signs of waking up.
Not only Sebastiene's friend, we also saw Loki's brother and some elves in the same state. Sebastiene wanted to break the tanks at first, but seeing so many things connected to their bodies, he decided to take everyone inside the tanks into his space. Now, we have no idea what to do and we haven't told anyone else about it yet.
"Seb, can you check for doctors?" I asked him tiredly. "Not just doctors, but anyone who can help with the current issue we have. I couldn't hide it from my sisters for long, they will definitely find out."
"I will try looking around the kingdom, my lady." He nodded before placing his cup on the table. "Or I might as well check the entire continent."
"It might be hard for you to find one without showing them the state of the people inside your space. But hopefully, they will not run their mouths. Keeping it a secret from a lot of people is our priority."
Sebastiene stared at his tea with a pondering expression.
"I know someone who could help me with keeping everything a secret." Sebastiene then showed a mysterious smile.
A few days has passed and it was time for the royal banquet. Nobles from all over the country went to the royal capital to join the said banquet. But seeing as it was a celebration to honor the victory of good against evil, even the common citizen took this time to celebrate on the streets. The royal capital was now filled with liveliness as people were decorating the streets with flowers and ribbons. The scent of different food filled the air together with joyous laughter and chatters.
This was the scene that greeted us the moment our entourage entered the royal capital. We were inside our carriage and the knights were on their horses surrounding us. As soon as the people saw the insignia of our house, they stopped what they were doing and gave us a curtsey. They were throwing white flowers from the windows on the second floors of their homes and establishments that it looked like it was actually snowing.
Athy particularly enjoyed the view and even opened her side of the window which mother followed suit. It was really an amazing thing to see, but it was also very awkward.
"Oi, vessel." Athy turned to look at me, amused by the warm welcome. "Don't you want to see what's going on outside?"
I rolled my eyes at her teasing.
"If I show my face, they would probably go wild or cry." I told her poutingly. I also wanted to see the flower shower but I am not a fan of being worshipped.
"Aaachhoo!" Uriel sneezed while covering half her face with a handkerchief. "Why do I still have this stinking allergy here?"
Uriel was allergic to pollen and dust back on Earth. Not sure if it's just coincident or not, but she is also allergic to it here. Though the allergy is not as bad as before, she still hates it.
Athy and I just laughed at her luck and shrugged.
We arrived at our mansion inside the royal capital with no problems. Our travel was smooth and our welcome was warm. Warmer than we ever expected.
The mansion was made of white and gray stones. It actually looked like the white house with its pillars standing firm outside. The garden that we passed by was big and filled with the familiar roses that mother liked. Though it was not as big as our castle back in Westreon, it still felt like home.
The servants and the caretaker of the mansion were all lined up outside to greet us.
"Welcome your grace." The servants greeted father as he walked out of the carriage. Then they greeted us one by one as we stepped out too.
We all looked at the mansion and tried to retrieve as much memory as we could get from the previous owners of these bodies. We were able to recall the important ones like the names of the servants and the layout of the mansion. The knights were escorted to their residence which was almost identical to the one we had back in Westreon.
"My lord." The caretaker of the house and butler of the mansion bowed to father. He was an elderly man with gray hair and petite frame. His eyes were droopy and almost covered by his also gray eyebrows. "Please come inside. You have travelled far so must get some rest."
Athy looked at the old butler before smiling at him.
"It's good to see you well, Dom." She greeted him.
The butler smiled softly at Athy before bowing down and patting her head.
"It's always a pleasure to you, my lady." He replied.
We all went in and were escorted to our rooms while the servants we brought with us were also escorted to their own rooms.
After seeing a bed, I immediately snoozed off.
