Arriving where the arrow-looking boulder that Haktor described, I did not see any army of dead or Sebastiene in sight. But there were traces of a battle that occured here. I paused and focused a my senses trying to look for any signs of movement or life.
Nothing.
Not even signs of animals or insects are felt.
'Seb, where are you?' I muttered to myself. He could not have been defeated and taken as a hostage right? Or worse, he could have been turned into a zombie!
I was starting to overthink with worry that I was not thinking straight. If the necromancer really defeated Sebastiene, that would be devastating in more ways than one.
Seb is one of the strongest people, or demon, that I know of. If he was defeated, that means the enemy we are up against, could be stronger than what we expected. If Sebastiene was defeated, we would lose our knowledge of necromancers since no one else I know of have defeated one. Worse, if Seb was actually turned into a zombie, we would be facing an overpowered zombie who does not give a shit about gods and goddesses.
I was about to leave the spot when the ground shook lightly. I jumped up the arrow-looking boulder and looked around.
At first, there was nothing. But sometime later, I noticed that the trees a few meters away from where I was were falling without a sound. Someone or something must have caused it to fall, and I would bet that it's Sebastiene.
Jumping down the boulder, I ran straight to the place I saw the trees fall. I was running in a forest ninja style while wearing a victorian style dress.
Swag.
The first thing I saw when I arrived at the place was a huge luminescent like barrier. It was the first reason why I stopped running. The second was the zombies stuck on it from the inside like they were stuck on a wall.
It was not a pretty sight.
I tried touching wall-like barrier, it was firm but it also felt elastic. I tried to look around, looking for an entrance or a glimpse of Sebastiene, but I could not see anything apart from the zombies who kept crowding my sight.
"Seb! Are you in there?" I could not help but ask out loud. I wanted to make sure he was still alive.
There was no answer for sometime that I was ready to bust this barrier just to get in. But all of a sudden, a bleeding Sebastiene came to my view, shocking me.
"Holy shit Seb! What the hell happened to you?" I screamed in shock.
Sebastiene looked at me confusedly before looking at himself.
"Oh! Don't worry, my lady." He smiled calmly. "This is not my blood."
Hearing this, I partly relaxed.
"Let me in." I told him, pointing at the barrier he created.
Sebastiene looked behind him as if trying to assess the situation.
"Is the necromancer still alive?" I asked, knowing that he was looking at the necromancer. "I want to see him and ask some questions."
Sebastiene pursed his lips thoughtfully, as if he was debating against himself if he should let me in.
"Sebastiene, I am ordering you to let me in." I spoke in a threatening tone. "Now!"
"Of course, my lady." Sebastiene bowed with a stiff smile. He waved hi hand and got out of the barrier, carried me princess style and went back in.
"What took you so long?" I asked him.
"I had to make sure it was safe for you to come inside the barrier." Sebastiene explained. "I would never put you in a difficult situation."
"Is that it?" I asked him as he jumped right in the middle of all the zombies. There was a disheveled, beaten and smelly thing that resembles a person lying on the ground.
"Yes, my lady." Sebastiene nodded as he put me down on my feet. "That is the necromancer that attacked the Archduke and opened the portals for demon beasts."
I stared at the necromancer with disgust.
"Tell me, who ordered you?" I asked looking down on him.
The necromancer suddenly turned his head towards me and with the biggest and spine-tingling grin he spoke lowly.
"You finally came."
