Whispers from the people with us could be heard. Of course, Fuego's are also high-ranking nobles, and Marionne was somewhat well-known not only by the nobles but by the knights as a strong fighter. But what they do not know is that she had become a part of our knights.
All the others only know was that Marionne quit her position in her family's knightage. They thought that she stopped being a knight to work on finding a marriage partner or getting ready for her engagement.
I know all this from Sebastiene.
"What my sister said is true." I looked towards the green-eyed youth. "If they are really fighting, we would have seen abilities flying from where they are."
This statement made them all quiet down as they know we were right.
"I don't know if this counts, but there is a place close to the top where one can hide and is also easy to defend." Felix Salvatore said. "But the place is also a trap since there are no exits apart from where one enters."
"Where is it?" I asked turning to face him.
"It is close to the top. The entrance is a bit hidden, unless you have been there, it would be hard to find." He answered.
"The entrance of that cave is on the other side of the mountain though?" Yan pointed.
"That's fine." I said and turned to face the others. "Is there anyone here who can use teleportation or can move all of us using a portal?"
No one.
"Well, I guess we could use mine." I sighed in defeat.
I was actually expecting someone from the other knights to have spacial or teleportation abilities but I guess I was wrong.
"What?!" Athy asked, her face filled with disbelief. "You can use teleportation?"
"No." I answered flatly before a wicked smile appeared. "Something better."
A few moments later.
Sounds of fearful screaming and gasps of dibelief could be heard as a water dragon appeared before the people. It was big with shiny deep blue scales that covered its body. There were antlers on top of its head and its droopy eyes stared at the people with indifference. It had a very long tail that resembles fish fins and large wings.
Dughong, the dragon protector of the Nothern Ocean, descended from the sky making the knights ran in fright.
"Waaahh! A demon beast!" On of the knights shouted as soon as he saw Dughong.
"Run for your lives! Dragons eat humans!" Another shouted.
They all scurried away as Dughong descended with a bored look, as if he was already used to this kind of reaction.
"Stop!" I shouted as loudly as possible and backed my voice with force.
Everyone stopped running around screaming and turned to look at me.
"This dragon is connected to me, he won't hurt you." I sighed at how cowardly they acted.
The men looked up at the dragon behind me, whose golden eyes were shining under the moonlight while black smoke faintly surrounded him, making him look scarier than he actually is.
"H-how can we b-be sure that it won't hurt us?!" One asked as courageously as possible.
"This dragon does not eat filthy humans." Athy answered flatly. "Do you think dragons would want to eat something as dirty as humans?"
"You!" The knight pointed a finger at Athy but instantly withdraws it when he felt my killing glare.
Athy went close to the Dughong and patted one of his toes which was bigger than her. The other girl who was with Felix and Yan also went closer to the dragon and touched him. She was hesitant to touch him at first but she let her hand stay in the air. Dughong, seeing that she was doubting, extended his foot just enough for her hand to touch his cold scales. The girl squealed excitedly and immediately started to touch him without reserve.
"I welcome the mighty dragon, protector of the Northern Ocean." Loki bowed his head, respecting the dragon.
"Protector of the Northern Ocean?" Felix asked in disbelief. "You mean the legend of the dragon protector is real?"
Loki straightened himself again ans smiled faintly at him.
"Huh?" Yan asked in confusion. " You mean the dragon that helped in protecting the north from the demon beasts attack? Wasn't that just a legend that happened thousands of years ago?"
Felix nodded at his question but did not turn to look at him and just stared up at the dragon.
"Dughong?" Felix asked as he looked up at the dragon. "Are you the great protector, Dughong?"
Dughong lowered his head and stared at Felix before nodding his head.
"You are real!" Felix exclaimed, his voice filled with excitement. "But how are you still alive? You should be thousands of years old if you are the Dughong of the legends."
"He is thousands of years old." I confirmed.
Felix looked up at the dragon with bright eyes as if seeing his hero for the first time. Him and Yan started to talk about the legend of the Northern dragon.
The others who saw it then started to come back and discussed among themselves.
"Lady Castellan, why did you bring a dragon here?" One asked.
I smiled at him sweetly.
"Transport."
