That night, two dark robed men were escorted inside the Westreon castle. They kept their heads down and only walked to where their escort was leading them.
In a dim lit room, a little girl with silver hair stood looking outside the window. The night was moonless but the stars lit up the sky to make up for its absence. Her purple eyes gazing far as if in deep thought.
This was the view that the two hooded men saw when they entered the room and it put them into a daze.
"My lady, these are the members of Black circle that asked for an audience." Sebastiene announced as he came in with the robed men.
Seeing that I was in a daze, staring out the window, Sebastiene walked up to me silently and covered me with a shawl.
"Thank you Seb." I smiled at him and turned to face the dark robed men. They were just a little taller than me and it actually surprised me. My expression immediately turned cold. "You asked for an audience, and even though you are our enemies, I granted it. Speak, what do you want?"
The man took off his hood.
Woman. Not man.
"Lady Castellan, I am called Anous." The woman with jet black hair and thick bushy brows spoke. She looked to be around fourteen or fifteen with sharp facial features and bronze complexion. She reminds me of Pocahontas.
I looked at her disapprovingly.
"If you are here to play, I am not interested." I told her coldly. Who the hell would introduce themselves as 'Anous'? It sounded like a certain body part.
"I am not." Anous furrowed her brows.
"Do you really think that I would believe your so called name?" I asked her coldly.
"But it really is what they call me." The black haired woman reasoned out monotonously.
"Lady Castellan." The soft voice of the second hooded woman, or should I say girl, was heard. She took off her hood. She was the opposite of the other with her pinkish hair, emerald eyes and pale skin. She looked at me with big eyes that could turn anyone into mush, except me, who is tired of seeing such a sight from my sisters. "Anous is not lying, it is really the name given to her."
"And you are?" I turned my attention to her.
"I am called Grogda, lady Castellan." Grogda smiled, her smile and the way she speaks were graceful enough that she could be a noble's daughter.
"One is Anous and the other is Grogda. Are you trying to pick a fight?" I asked them, anger flashed though my eyes and my hair and clothes started moving even though there was no wind.
Both women were startled at my show of power. Not expecting such a small child to hold such power.
"N-no! Lady Castellan, we are really not lying!" Grogda spoke as softly as before, but her expression showed her nervousness. "That really is the names our master bestowed us."
"Master?" I chuckled darkly. "The same master that is making a mess in our land and going against us? That master of yours sent you here to make me say such foul words as a tasteless joke, didn't he?"
"No, lasy Castellan!" Grogda quickly denied. "We really-"
Grogda was not able to finish what she wanted to say when the door was flung open.
"Sister!" A red eyed, close to tears Astrid burst in. She was already in her night gown and her nightcap was hanging loosely on her head. She was sweating like she ran here from the employee's residence.
Astrid looked around the room and her wet eyes met my cold ones.
"My lady!" She kneeled down. "I-I apologize for barging in so suddenly. I-"
She stopped mid-sentence when her eyes landed on the two women in black robes.
"S-sister." She whispered as tears flowed freely down her eyes.
"Red?" Grogda's lips were shaking when she saw Astrid. "What? Why are you here?"
Astrid leaped to her and engulfed her in a hug.
"Sister." Astrid cried. "I thought I would never see you."
I retracted my power and stared at Sebastiene who just shrugged.
I forgot that he was still not one of us when Astrid was hired.
"Ehem." I cleared my throat and smiled. "Astrid, do you mind explaining why you burst into my meeting?"
Like she just remembered that I was also here, Astrid turned and kneeled to me again.
"M-my lady, the women in f-front of you are m-my sisters from before." She explained between sniffles. "They are also th-the same as me."
I was startled by the information that Astrid just brought.
"So you are telling me that these ladies are escapees from Vitlaus Burvis's laboratory too?" I raised my brow at her.
"Yes, my lady." Astrid nodded as she wiped her tears with the sleeve of her nightgown.
"Stand up, and explain to me properly." I furrowed my brow and sighed.
Sebastiene helped Astrid to stand and even offered his handkerchief to her.
"You are showing such a disgraceful face in front of our lady." He shook his head and sighed.
Astrid wiped her face and tried to show a calm front, yet her shaky hands betrayed her.
"I'm sorry to show you such a sight, my lady, but I couldn't help the happiness I felt seeing my sisters." Astrid smiled apologetically and glanced towards the black robed women.
"I thought Grogda is your sister? Why are you adding the other one too?" I tilted my head and frowned.
"Please do not misunderstand my lady, both of them are escapees from the laboratory." She pointed at the elegant soft-spoken Grogda. "But Yume shares the exact same blood as me."
"You mean she has the same elf blood that was injected to you?" I saw Sebastiene's eyebrow twitched once and his smile froze for a moment at what I said but immediately covered it.
"Yes, my lady." She nodded and smiled at the pair of black robed women before realizing something. "By the way why are you here sisters?"
