Genova leads Mikayla and Nuclei into the Citadel while effortlessly dragging Kerish and Jin in both hands. The two take in the magnificent architecture of the Citadel as seen as such an outstanding marvel of a building. The group stops once they reach the massively closed doors with the seven-pointed star engraved in the middle of the door.
Genova stops just before the door and lets go of the two unconscious demigods. "This is as far as I go. Just enter this room to speak with the gods and you'll learn everything you need to know." She gives Mikayla and nuclei a bow before making her way out of the citadel.
"Do you want me in there with you?" Nuclei ask, walking up to her.
Mikayla only shakes her head no in response to Nuclei. "No, this is something I have to do myself." And with that she opens the doors into the main room, walking into the center as the doors closed behind her with a loud, echoing thud. The room goes silent as she waits for something to happen when the two shards that represent water and ice begin to shine brightly from underneath her. The two coves erupt with water and ice, Torrentia and Borean step forth from their respective elements, towering over Mikayla as they stand before her. "...Well this isn't something you see every day," she says taking a step back.
"No need to be frightened, my daughter, we will not harm you," Torrentia says in a calming tone.
"Indeed, you're safe here. I believe this will help relieve your nerves."
Boreans and Torrentias' bodies begin to transform, growing smaller and smaller until they reach the height of an average human. The thin layer of water and ice that makes up their bodies fall off revealing a human appearance. Both of the gods have dark tan skin and are wearing luxurious clothes colored to their elements. Torrentia hair is long and black with a tint of blue with vibrant blue eyes. Boreans hair is dark brown with small hints of gray strands of hair, his eyes are that of sparkling silver.
"I hope this eases your mind," Torrentia asks now that both of them are in human form.
"It helps." Torrentia approaches Mikayla ever so slowly. "What are you doing?"
Torrentia gently touches Mikayla's face as the Goddess sheds a tear. "You have grown up so beautifully over the years, you even have my eyes." Borean comes from behind Torrentia, holding her in his arms as he has a warm smile on his face. "Our Marina."
Mikayla softly shakes her head, removing the hand from her face and stepping back. "That's just it, I'm not Marina. I'm Mikayla, I grew up on earth with my parents that didn't abandon me."
"We didn't have a choice. It took everything your mother and I had to leave you there but we knew it would be for the best." Borean claims.
Torrentia wipes her tears. "It was painful not having you here with us, not having you grow up amongst your siblings. To truly know your birthright as the demigoddess of both ice and water."
"You say that I'm a demigod but I'm a meta-human. My powers surfaced when…" Mikayla's voice chokes having to revisit the painful event that took her best friend's life.
"When you lost your friend in that wave?" Torrentia says.
"H-how did you know?" Mikayla asks but Torrentia looks down and away from her gaze. "Oh my god… You knew… You probably saw it happen and you didn't do ANYTHING!"
"Please my child, understand that she couldn't. It was an act of nature itself, it wouldn't have been right." Borean pleads while trying to defend Torrentia.
"Act of nature!? You are two parts of nature! How wouldn't it have been right!?" Mikayla's temper rises as her hair and eyes change to blue and white. Droplets of water and small icicles begin to form in the air around them. "You could've saved her, saved us both! Yet you only sat and watched as she died! If I had known of my powers before maybe I could've saved her that day!"
"Marina, please." Torrentia tries to reach out to her daughter now encumbered with rage.
"MY NAME'S MIKAYLA!" Her power escalates causing water and ice to explode from her causing a loud enough boom to shake the Citadel. Waves of water and ice burst from her with extreme force.
The Citadel shook violently enough that Jin and Kerish woke up confused as to why they're in the halls of the Citadel.
"Oh, you're finally awake. Mikayla seems to be conversing with her godly parents on the other side. Though the sudden shake is quite alarming." Jin and Kerish look at him confused as they heard nothing but bubbles from him. Nuclei just point to the door which reminds Jin why they were on their way from the beginning.
Soon after, Phin runs up to them with Lumina by his side. "What the hell is going on?"
"It seems that our friend is communing with the gods… Why are you with my sister?" Lumina playfully waves at her brother with Jin waving back.
Borean and Torrentia easily fight through their daughters' rage, taking her into their arms and holding her tightly. The storming elements slowly subside as Mikayla starts to cry, hugging them back.
Torrentia holds Mikayla's head into her chest, stroking her hair slowly. "We're sorry that you had to go through such an ordeal but believe us when we say that if we could have intervened we would have done so."
"She speaks the truth. It is torture for us to only watch from afar but we got to see you grow up and still choose the path that we had hoped for." Mikayla pulls her face back from Torrentia, wiping her tears as she looks at Borean. "Before we decided to bring the demigods to our new home it was their job to protect the world and spread our names for those who believed in us."
"You used your powers to help those in need and return some of those people praised you as their savior and us for bringing them a protector. We couldn't be any prouder."
Then without warning, the seven-shard star shone bright like the sun. The five coves abruptly fill with the other elements. Dynamism, Subterra, Platinum, Vesper, and Sol Blaze step forth from the coves into the room, looking down at Mikayla being held by Torrentia and Borean.
"I sense two elemental auras coming from that girl... Explain yourselves. Now." Sol Blaze says in a booming voice.
"She is our daughter that was conceived not long after Vesper and Dynamism had their child," Torrentia explains to her fellow gods.
Subterra stomps her foot in anger making Mikayla's body bounce off the floor. "You went behind our backs after the law was made to never conceive a child between two us!? No demigod should have that much power."
"I agree, the last thing we want is another uprising like what happened all those millennia ago." Platinum steps forth to Mikayla but Borean rises into his godly form blocking the metal god from his daughter. "Step aside, Borean. You know what must be done."
Torrentia, too, returns to her godly form alongside Borean. "You will not lay a finger on her or so help me. I'll show you a rage unlike any other."
Borean points to the gods of wind and lightning. "If you truly wish to go through with it then you would need to do the same with the offspring of Dynamism and Vesper."
Dynamisms' electric body becomes erratic from Borean's statement. "Leave my son out of this!" The God of lightning makes his way over to the Frozen God when Sol Blaze intervenes with a blast of fire shot between them.
"That's enough. They have a point. We spared your child before so the same shall be done for theirs." Sol Blaze turns his attention back to Mikayla. "You've been quiet. Do you have any questions, daughter of Torrentia and Borean?"
Mikayla snaps out of it and back to reality, be it crazy as it is now. "I do actually. Why are you all so wary of demigods born from two Gods? Are you afraid of their power?"
"We are not afraid of their power but their potential." Vesper's answer only leaves Mikayla with a confused look on her face. "You've only just learned of your true heritage not that long ago. You don't deserve to know the truth yet."
Suddenly the door opens as Phin confidently struts into the room with Kerish, Lumina, and Jin behind him, urging him to come back. The three of them stop on their tracks and get down on their knees while Phin is left dumbstruck at the sight of these massive beings of pure elemental energy.
"I'm sorry my God, we told him not to enter unannounced but he wouldn't listen," Kerish states looking up at them.
"It's OK, my son. We were just about finished here. Wait a minute." Platinum takes another glance at Phin and notices his golden aura. "That aura… it's the same as the one before."
Sol Blaze kneels to get a closer look at Phin. "Not just that his face is the same as well. Could it be?"
Phin takes a couple of steps back from the fire God. "Could what be? Have you seen me before?"
Dynamism kneels next to Sol Blaze, placing a hand on his chest. "You mean don't remember us? Surely it hasn't been that long for you, not for a god."
Jin's face, as well as the rest of the group's faces, goes blank from Dynamisms' comment. "A god. Phin is a god?"
Sol Blaze and Dynamism stand to their feet. "Yes, he is a God. And Phin isn't your name. It's Aether."
