"Kar I can walk you know," Lynn said as her mate carried her down to the living room. Once there he sits her on the sofa and hands her the remotes. "That may be the case Lynn, but I want to take care of you." She sighed and kissed him. "There are still no new leads on who did this?" she asked. Kar shook his head as he came back into the room with a bottle of water for her. She knew he was worried about her, but her wolf wanted to find who did this and kill them.
Time had passed and Kar was out on a portal when Lynn's head snapped up. She stood up and ran to the door as her old alpha came in with a child. "Hello Lynn miss me?" she let out a growl. "Kar get home now." She says as she stares at the man in front of her. "Let the child go Paul." She said calmly. Her green eyes changed to blue. She shifted fast and attacked freeing the child.
Kar ran inside his home and smelled blood and lots of it. When he got to a room, he heard a growl and saw Lynn standing in front of a group of children protecting them. Her old alpha was dead in front of her. "Kar her eyes look," Miko tells him. He sees her eye. The tops are bright green and the bottom blue. "She's of the guardian pack. That's why silver won't hurt her. It also explains why her wolf is almost bigger than me." He hears his wolf tell him.
"Sweetheart its just me. Can you come back to me now?" Kar watches her as she keeps in front of the kids. When the little girl from the kitchen hugs her. "Its okay Luna Alpha won't ever hurt us. Thank you for saving me." Kar saw Lynn shift back and pull the child into a hug. Then looked up at Kar. "I'm sorry I growled at you Kar." He smiled as he helped her to her feet. "No need to be sorry you were protecting our pack."
Kar saw her look down at her old alpha. "I can't believe I killed him." She says in shock. "Lynn, I don't think you were part of his pack. I think you belonged to a pack called the guardian pack. They are a pack the moon Goddess herself has blessed. They are kind of like the enforcers of all wolves. They are all strong and the power they have all obey them." She looked up at him. "Then how did I end up with him?" she points to the dead man at her feet.
After a few hours, Kar calls the Guardian pack and explains everything. When he hangs up he looks over at his mate asleep on the sofa in his office. Walking over to her he softly kisses her. "Love the pack is sending an elder to come talk to you. They will be here in a few hours." She opens her eyes to look at him. "Then we have time for some fun." She says in a low growl.
Lynn is in the kitchen an hour later making coffee. She looks up when Kar walks in with a man. "Wow, you're a spitting image of your mother-child." She looks confused as she sits down with her cup. "Let me explain. When you were a few months old you were kidnapped, and your parents killed. They were the alphas of our pack. We looked everywhere for you but never found you. We all thought you had been killed." She looked at Kar who walked over to her and stood behind her. She needed his touch right now. "So, is that why when I howled a few weeks back everyone bowed their heads?" the man nods. "You child are the Alpha of all wolves and what you say is law." She looked up at her mate.
When the man left she shifted and went for a run. "Ulva did you know?" she asks her wolf. "No Lynn I had no clue." Lynn ran letting her mind shift through all the info she was just given. She came to a clearing when she laid down and watched the water. When she heard movement she slowly got up and turned.
When she saw her mate, she walked over and put her head under his muzzle. Her mind was trying to understand everything. "We will figure this out together Love I promise," Kar tells her. She licks him and the two lay there for a while. "Kar I won't have to leave you, will I?" she asked as they shifted back. Kar took her hand as they walked home. "Not if you don't want to Lynn. I think you are going to need your own office though. That way you can learn to do your new job. Whatever happens Lynn I will be at your side."
Over the next few days, the leaders of the guardian pack came and helped her learn about her powers and what she would have to do if she was going to stay with the silver moon pack. She was sitting in the kitchen. "Love your burning your dinner. Lynn hey Lynn." He touched her arm making her jump. The pan she was holding fell.
"Shit Kar I'm sorry my mind was elsewhere. Did you need something?" She tried to move past him to clean up the mess. "Lynn stop. Are you okay?" He holds her in his arms. "Talk to me, baby." She looks up at him. "It's just so much to take in. Kar, I don't want all that. I just want a normal life. I don't want to oversee all the wolves." She cried in his arms.
After that day Kar kept his eyes on his mate. She was in her office when Kar heard her yelling. "I will do no such thing." Kar walked in to see her staring at an elder from the guardian pack. "I will not tell that pack I'm sorry for killing their alpha. He treated my pack. He treated a child in front of me." Kar saw her eye color change.
Walking over to her Kar pulled her into his arms. She was pissed and he could feel it. "You are the leader among all wolves. You must show all the right way to live. You can't go about killing alphas because they hurt your feeling." The elder says staring at her. Kar heard her growl. "My mate had every right to defend herself in her own home. Now I will ask you to leave our home." Kar says.
