Benedict's POV
"Lisa! Lisa! Baby, please, come back to me. I am sorry if I shocked you. If you are not yet ready to marry me, that would be fine by me, as long as you will stay and be my girl. I am willing to wait, please, come out now." I was yelling, and I felt worried about Lisa because I didn't know where she went. I am thinking about the wild animals at night that might attack her, there could be snakes around the area, and I know there are some venomous vipers found in the mountains of San Antonio.
I felt hurt as I remembered the horror I saw on her beautiful face after I proposed to her. And I wondered what went wrong. I have heard her talk about marriage with Maya, and I know she was excited for me to propose to her, and I couldn't fathom why she acted as if she didn't want to spend the rest of her life with me. Is Lisa afraid to have children with me? It couldn't be because I knew how much she cared about John's children. She was a great aunt to them.
