The light of the day had long since ebbed and dwindled to nothing, now as midnight marched steadily toward us the air was cooler and damper than it had been. In the sweet rain-washed darkness the sounds of the night became loud in our ears, even the rustling of the leaves and the whisper of the wind was thunderous.
By midnight the darkness is almost absolute, only a smattering of luminous stars scatter the heavens. Even the moon has waned to almost nothing.
The breeze kissed his porcelain skin, the rays reflecting off his luscious locks of black hair. The breeze fingered his hair, tousling the head of hair.
Li gaped openly as he observed his sharp jaw, chin, and cheekbones. His luscious hair which matched the colour of midnight framed his slender face. His eyes gleamed with nervousness and curiosity, framed by graceful brows On either side of his straight nose were two honeyed eyes. And by the side of his head was a pair of strong arms caging him in.
Both of their breaths ragged. Li clutched the male's shirt breathing it in frantically to calm his nerves and pheromones. The smell of slight lavender calmed his nerves as he closed his eyes. The dug his face in the males shoulder also trying to calm himself of his coming rut.
(Note-I changed Li's eye colour so it match the male of my cover).
Neither seem to mind it as they bathed in each other's presence. The chilly air on the balcony brought a slight shiver down their spine.
The male in front of him was extremely handsome that he could be plastered on any billboard. His skin was ever so slightly tanned. He had prominent cheekbones and a well-defined chin and nose. Spiked, warm brown fringed with smooth green. His dark brows were actually graceful, but currently furrowed in a frown.
All of it was framed by thick, warm dark chocolate curls. They locked his hands in front of him with chains, which were wielded to the wall. His muscled back was bare. She couldn't see his chest. Part of her wished she could. The other very small part said she should get ahold of herself. She let out a shaky sigh.
He was a man of any girl's dreams. He had smooth flawless skin, which was like a sheet of well done cloth. His eyes, which was under his burgundy short hair, glinted under the moonlight. He had high-bridged nose that was among his two eyes.
His soft sharp lips were very attractive and captivating. I wanted to touch it but I decided not to do so. A beautiful face. Well defined, with a sharp jaw and angular cheekbones. The complexion of his skin going well with his ocean-like eyes.
He looked down for a moment, eyes locking onto those honeyed eyes that seem to drown and soak in warmth. It created a warm feeling deep inside of his stomach. He would just have to wait for someone entertaining to arrive. The air got cloudy with slight lust. Both feeling it indulged in their desires.
He kissed him and the world fell away. Entering their own little world, drifting from the reality around them. It was slow and soft, comforting in ways that words would never be. His hand rested below his ear, his thumb caressing his flushed cheek as their breaths mingled. He ran his fingers down his spine, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them. It sent a tingle and shiver down his spine that was oddly comforting. The bodies tangled with each other. As each were a missing piece of the puzzle-meant for each other.
Both could feel the beating of his heart against her chest.
Being pinned to the wall? Literally kabedoned? In a heat? Kissing?
Li wondered how he even got here.

The golden eyed male sat quietly at the long table in the meeting room. Listening to his trusted colleagues discussing the business trajectory in it's sales and so on.
His secretary walked over to his side before quietly announcing some unexpected plans.
"Boss you have been invited to the Interstellar Business Banquet. I suggest you go since there will be most if not all of the most prominent business bosses gathered there. It would be an opportunity to make connections. Although there is a problem…."
Li didn't like where this was going. His eyes furrowing in worry.
"What is it."
"There will mostly only be alphas there I believe."
"No betas at all?"
"There will be some like Insouke Rio but only about 10 at most I believe. Since it is usually only for alphas. But recently betas have been allow to attend in the following years. But I'm worried if your pheromones will act up and if their your smell will be too strong and cause alphas to go into a rut."
"It'll be fine. I'll take and extra dose of medicine."
"But-"
"It's alright. It's very important for our business to make a strong connection soon."
"Alright but can I go at least."
The male shook his head. Instantly denying the idea.
"I don't think they'll allow any assistants in. Don't worry to much I got this."
The stairs ahead were twisted in a perfect spiral, like a child's slinky toy pulled from each end. It was made of pure white marble. A sleek metal rail securing him within. His polished leather heels clicked against the rock as he slowly descended the stairs.
Beneath his long black jacket was a ironed shirt with a simple black tie peeping from under the white collar line. He wore a pair of simple black pants. His hair neatly combed back. He wore a wore a silver cross earring that dangled lazily on his ears.
He opened the doors to his home, greeted by the nights chilly air. He hopped into the incoming vehicle. But he soon noticed a small silhouette darting towards him.
His one and only, his little ball of sunshine.
"Mama! Don't go!"
The child clashed into the larger one. Sniffling, his cute button nose scrunching up. His watery doe like eyes peering up in a plea.
The male quickly kissed the tears away, holding him ever so tightly.
"I'm sorry dear but mama has to leave."
"But-but it's a big no no!"
The male looked at his son in confusion. What was going in his head yet again.
"The big bad wolfs will eat you!"
The male chuckled as he patted his heads son in comfort. Whispering sweet nothings. He had to get going soon and he didn't want to be the person coming in 'fashionably' late.
"Mama's gotta go now. Okay sweetheart?"
The child pouted, the nanny rushing out to take him back inside. His small feet were bare as they padded across the tarmac.
"Be a good little boy okay? Mama wll bring you some treats before he comes home."
"Okay."
The child pouted and looked down. Giving one last long hug before reluctantly going back inside. Watching the long black sleek limousine pulling out of the drive way and into the distance.
The child quickly went in, already formulating a plan to put into action.
'Mission-save my mama!'
-------------------
The male pulled up in front of the large hall. The lights could have already been seen in the distant. Various luxurious car brands pulled up as many well-known figures got out of their car and inside. Li slowly got out of the vehicle. His ride slowly disappearing into the distant. He turned his attention to the large open French doors. Where to muscular looking men stood intimadely.
The male walked up and halted infront of them. Rummaging in his pocket to look for his invitation and only passage to enter.
To his disappear he couldn't find it. He felt slightly embarrassed for wasting their time.
"Excuse me. Could you perhaps let me in? I've seem to have forgotten my invitation. I'm the CEO of 'Starlit'."
The bodyguards shook their head in disapproval.
"Sorry sir if you don't have the invitation you are not permitted to leave. Can you kindly leave."
Li stood their in confusion, he was basically being kicked out. A soft sigh left his rosy lips as he turned on his heels to leave.
"Wait."
This turned everyone's attention to the deep velvety voice.
"Young master."
The two guards quickly bowed in respect.
"Let them in. I invited them personally."
With that they were gone with the wind. The black haired male had not got even a glimpse of whom they were.
The two guards apologised and he was on his way.
---------------
It was a grand space, to say the least. The circular wooden tables were scattered throughout the banquet hall. Each piled with an assortment of delicacies and drinks.
The walls were the colour of purity. At the end of the table were floor to ceiling french doors, left slightly ajar to let in the chilly nights air.
The sound of chattering and the music softly playing the the background by the orchestra could be deciphered. Soon the lights dimmed and focused on the people atop the stairs.
An old yet handsome male descended down the flight of steps. Holding the hand of a aged yet gorgeous woman's hand. A dashingly handsome male right behind the duo. The females long silk red dress dragged against the marble. It was like a blossoming rose, simply beautiful. The male wore a simple black tuxedo that seemed to match with the red, contrasting gorgeously. Like a rose at midnight. The trio made their way to a nearby table where wine was sat at.
"Welcome all to the Interstellar Business Banquet. Make yourselves comfortable and have a wonderful time. Cheers."
Everyone raised the glassed and repeated his lasts words. With that the banquet started without a hitch. But that doesn't mean it ends like that.
How had Li even gotten to where he was?
