In my ears a drum pace got stronger. The tunnels were also used by the city to pump the rain water out of the streets. If it rained a lot the level of water would rise and make it impossible for us to walk.
In a fast movement, Juno passed her hand over the lock and the door slid back to the wall. Instead of getting excited it made me sad. Her gaze carried a farewell.
