Mornings in the Lower Tier were just clearer nights. The sun never broke through the buildings and the many passages that connected one construction to the other, not to mention that when it slipped down a crack quickly someone claimed it by putting something directly under it. In the end the light never reached the first levels.
I went up to the last floor. Everything was quiet due to the amount of wasted people that were probably dead asleep, some literally. Even on the high up, old billboards casted out shadows all over the small stores and stands that existed on top of the buildings. It was a very strategic business point. Citizens used the bridges and passages to cross from one side to the other, without having to go down on foot just to go up again, this way the top market was created.
My favorite breakfast spot was located in the top market of my apartment.
