Once the gunshots stopped we knew we had escaped but we weren't safe yet. The further we got from downtown the better, we had no idea how far their perimeter was and how many of them were following us and how.
During the whole time we didn't switch any words but I knew we had the same objective, get to the lower Tier to ditch that extravagant blue motorcycle despite it being so fucking cool with neon blue light on the wheels and a gray metallic slim body. I wondered if it was hers or she only took it. Also, I must say it was not comfortable at all, we were awkwardly glued together because that vehicle was not designed for two people but damn it was fast.
I let my mind drift for a while but the moment I saw the first lights from the square windows of the slums squeezed between the skyscrapers my mind focused on our next move. This was not supposed to happen but in that part of the city we would be safe to plan ahead.
