Ha-Eun's POV:
It's been 2 months since Ji-Hoo proposed to me for marriage, and finally, it's our wedding day! Though I should be happy today, still a part of me was heartbroken...
My parents couldn't accept Ji-Hoo from their heart. Mustering up my entire courage, I took him to meet my parents in my home for the first time. I couldn't trick them with any lie and confessed the whole matter about Ji-Hoo's dark past. As expected, we got a bitter reaction from them. Especially my dad was too annoyed and he immediately dashed off the house to avoid him. My mom, couldn't leave us alone but didn't communicate for a single word with Ji-Hoo.
Somehow, I knew their reaction won't be in our favor. After all, which parents will want their daughter to get married to a former rehab street criminal? But their behavior was much harder to endure for both of us, especially for Ji-Hoo. He didn't complain about a single thing but sat beside me quietly with a sad smile.
