~Noah's POV-
As guided by my mom, I decide to give a chance for starting a friendship with flower princess. But I was little nervous to get shoved off again!
Next day I slowly approached her during the recess. But honestly, I was a bit reluctant to start any conversation. Maybe my ego was still pinching me off.
I was standing behind her awkwardly for sometime. After a while, she looked back at me--
"What do you want?", she asked me with a cold gaze.
"Nothing! I just like to stand here!", I just tried to come up with an excuse.
"Too awful excuse!", she replied bluntly.
I felt agitated again, but hardly controlled my irritation.
I slowly walked towards the bench she was sitting on.
"Can I sit here?", I asked her while sulking.
"Why? You said you like to stand there! Go & stand!", she replied very drastically.
"Okay I am sitting here!", I quickly sat on the bench.
"Hey!! Who told you to sit here?", she looked very angry while lowering her eyebrows.
"I know you will forbid me to sit, so I decided by my own to sit here!", I replied quite boldly while looking at her eyes.
"Hey Mister! I just told you that day I like to sit here alone without any nuisances! Can't you understand human language?", she was fuming with rage.
"I won't leave!", I was persistent.
"Why?"
"Because you look lonely! I just can't leave a lonely person by all herself okay! I won't leave!", I raised my voice a little bit.
She looked very surprised. She was staring at me with her eyes wide open.
I was flustered. It's the first time she was staring at me directly like this! Somehow, I felt quite shy & nervous.
"Wh-why do you think I am lonely?", she asked me in a curious voice.
"Because you are lonely! You have built an ice - armour around yourself to protect your heart! That coldness forbids you to open up to anyone!", I said nonchalantly.
She looked down, maybe she was thinking something.
"Hey! Can you read minds or something like that?", she sounded very serious.
"What? Ha ha!!", I started laughing loudly. "Why? Is it because what I told was absolutely right?", I smirked.
She looked a bit panicked. However I was enjoying her different expression rather than that cold attitude.
"Don't worry! I somehow forgot that I knew someone who was just like you! She acted as a tough lady on outside but she was just a normal person from inside. She's my grandma. I had always disliked her because of her coldness but she was the one who always loved me the most! Today she is very far away from me, but I do miss her! I understand now that the cold nature was just a facial mask for the world! I just regret, I couldn't understand that when she was alive!", my eyes were teary while saying all these.
She was quiet for sometime.
"Okay!", she said very softly.
"Huh? What okay?", I asked.
"I gave you permission to sit here!", she replied while looking at the cherry trees.
"Really? I can sit here with you everyday?", my eyes were shinning with joy.
"Only if you don't pester me! I hate nuisances!", she answered quite boldly.
"Sure! Then can we have lunch together from tomorrow here?", I don't know why but somehow I was really happy to get that oppurtunity.
"Hmm", she replied.
Somehow the most happy time of my high-school life began! I almost rushed to her everyday during the recess. She slowly began to open up to me.
I even tried to introduce her with Baek & Lyn, but she gave them the cold shoulder like everyone else; which made me more proud of myself though!
"Hey! You didn't introduce yourself properly to me!", I asked her one day.
"Why should I?", she replied abruptly.
"Hey these are basic manners you know! You should atleast introduce yourself properly to everyone!", I tried to explain my point of view.
She seemed a bit uninterested, but replied in a deep voice- "I am Kim Luna, heiress of Kim Merchandise!"
"Yeah! Nice to meet you Luna!", I was smiling brightly.
She looked at me with an annoyed expression, "Hey? Why are you calling with my name? You should address me as Miss Kim! Everybody does so!"
"But I am a bit different from others, so I won't do the same", I smiled a bit.
She was pouting, "you are very annoying Mr. Han!", she said.
"Mr. Han? Woah! I sound like a 50 years old man! Hey call me Noah! We are friends after all!", I replied.
Suddenly her face was darkened. With intense eyes she looked at me & said, "I don't make friends".
I was a bit confused with this reaction, maybe she has some trauma that's why she can't trust friendships. I felt pity for her.
"Then we are acquaintances from now on, Luna!", I tried to make her comfortable.
She nodded her head.
"Well do you have a boyfriend?", I was a bit nervous while asking that.
"What?", she looked at me with a disgusted face.
"Well because I am the most popular guy of our school! Almost every week I get confessed by someone & date her! So while becoming the acquaintance of the most popular guy in the school, you should atleast know that!", I tried to boast myself.
She smirked a bit, "Gosh! Girls have awful taste nowadays!", she replied sarcastically.
"Hey?? What did you say? Ahh darn it! I can't believe you are so rude Luna!", I was sulking like a small child.
"And you are so awful to become the most popular guy! Maybe all the girls are blind here!", she was still too blunt.
"Hey you----"
"Ha ha!", she laughed out loudly while watching me getting mad at her.
I was gazing at her with my eyes wide open. Woah! She looked like a divine Goddess, smiling in her flower territory! It's the first time I saw her smiling for me.
My heart started pounding like crazy!
What's happening! I never felt like this towards anyone ever!
"Hey! You have a beautiful smile!", I praised her unknowingly.
She stopped smiling & looked up at the sky, "That's because I don't smile often!
And I despise love Mr. Han! I hate all those feelings!", she said.
I didn't expect such an answer from her. It was quite a surprising response.
"Are you free this weekend?", I tried to change the topic.
"Why?"
"There will be a spring festival happening near the bank of Han river. There will be fireworks too in evening. Wanna go there?", I asked her gathering my courage.
"Why should I go with you?", she asked bluntly.
"Well consider it as a short hang-out with your acquaintance! Trust me it will be fun!", I tried to convince her.
"But I never went to any festival before", she sounded reluctant.
"You can rely on me this time, it won't disappoint you!", I smiled a bit at her.
She looked at me with agitated eyes.
"You are really persistent!", she complained.
"Will you go with me?", I asked boldly again.
"Okay", she sighed..
