ASTRA's pov
I never liked sun. if you ask me, sun can go explode and disappear. That annoying little bitch wakes me up every damn morning and I promise to drown it one day.
I groaned, turning around to face my topless boyfriend. He wrapped me in his arms and said something I didn't hear. I never understood how sun never wakes him up. But I decided to ignore it and buried my face into Zack's chest. Me mumbled something again, but I already zoned off. "Baby we should wake up.", he said more clearly, kissing my forehead.
"Impossible. You should've thought about waking up early before almost killing me yesterday."
He laughed and moved me so I was on top of him. Our eyes met and he kissed me. I love sleeping on top of him.
"Did I hurt you?" he asked, now kissing my cheeks lovingly.
"I'll be able to walk.", I joked and decided to really get up. I wrapped our sheets around my waist and searched for my clothes. Zack got up too and pulled me to shower with him. He washed my hair for me and almost made me do some things my ass will regret later.
After shower we went to dining room and ate the rest of muffins. Then Connor joined us in dining room. His hair was a mess. He tied it up and left to get dressed for today. I loved our mornings even if waking up was pain in the ass.
Every morning was somehow special. Sometimes we cook together, joke, watch TV and comment some bad movies. During school time Connor and I would go to highschool while Zach went to college. Connor and I are in same class and he often has to wake me up. We don't need school. We have enough money now, but Zack's grandpa insisted we finish school and have degrees before he left. School was always just annoying to me mostly because everyone was rude and homophobic. I knew only few other kids that were okay with my boyfriend. They would also often try to bully Connor because he looks easy to hurt, but you can't bully boy who can transport. It's useless. Everything is.
Zack didn't like his college either. Way too many would hit on him and he never really liked studying. I didn't feel jealous. Zack was mine ever since we were kids and I was his. No woman or man could take him from me.
After Connor returned to dining room, we talked about plans for today. Connor suggested that we go to magic show that was being held in city close to their home. I loved magic shows and Zack saw my excitement.
"We are watching a magic show today!" I said through link.
"Sorry, but I have football training today.", Fran apologized. That's okay. We can't always be free.
"I can't come too. Something came up with my dad and I have to help him out.", Yuko said.
My mood got a bit worse but then I heard Ema say how she's already waiting for Connor in library. Connor smiled after hearing her voice and disappeared to get her.
"I'll be free in few minutes.", Malia said so we just waited for all of them to come here.
"Baby bear?" I said to Zack and he turned to me. "We should go to cemetery to visit your family. We haven't been there for long time."
Zack never liked visiting his family at cemetery. It was depressing and it always made him remember the reason why he got his powers.
I remember that day clearly too. Because I got my powers at the same day too.
It was raining outside and I was sure how whole planet will drown. I was so alone in my room, I never felt that sad. So I ran outside to Zack's home. That was the time when we still lived in city. His grandmother opened the door and saw me crying like a baby. Then I saw Zack. He was in tears too. We hugged for hours and wept together until our eyes hurt. But we went through it together.
"We'll go soon, okay?" Zack promised and hugged me. "We'll bring some flowers too and lit up candles. Then we'll go on a date and find some nice place to get drunk in."
Zack liked drinking, but he never overdid it. I liked it when he got drunk too. He talked a lot and spoke everything that was on his mind. Alcohol can make him completely jump out of his character. I find that funny. When I get drunk, I get slutty. Like really slutty. And Zack loves it too. So whenever we have a bad day, we get drunk together.
We got drunk with Connor few times and he is a sleepy drunk. Zack had to drag him home last time. But even when we go through fights, some bad times or difficulties with Connor's addiction, we always stay together. This was always family to us. And now this family is bigger. So Fran can't blame me for wishing there was only us.
This family we created was all we need.
Connor came back with Ema in his hands. They were straight up hugging. I'm sure Ema already noticed that she doesn't have to hug him to transport, but they do it anyway. Connor moved his arms so Ema could leave but she got bold and pulled him by his neck down. They kissed and I couldn't hold back a giggle. Zack was proud of how far they got with their relationship. Unlike them, Fran and Malia were going slow. They occasionally held hands and I find them adorable.
"Welcome back Ema!" I said and hugged her. Even if Ema always hugged me back, I felt her hesitation whenever someone went to her. It's small detail, but I'm known for noticing even smallest changes in behavior. I think it's because of her trauma that gave her powers. But I'll do my best so she knows that I only want her good. I just hope that, over time, she will learn not to be afraid of us.
Ema went to her room while Connor went to get Malia. I always wished to go on a road trip to France and now we have a friend in France. Malia was just so soft in my eyes. I'm sure that her softness is the reason why her and Fran haven't gone further in relationship.
After Malia and Connor returned, we all decided to get ready for magic show in our rooms. Yesterday after everyone left Connor and Zack helped me fill everybody's closet with clothes that Zack and I bought before everyone visited for the first time. Now they all had a lot of clothes here too. I wish everyone would move in quickly. They already have everything here! Why can't they just come already!
I went to kitchen with Zack to get something to eat while we're out. I could always just eat in fast food or somewhere else, but I think little picnic is better. So while everyone got dressed, Zack and I made sandwiches.
Ema opened kitchen door and she wore knee length dark green dress with red flowers on bottom of it. I knew she will love that dress as soon as I saw it on internet.
"Astra did you buy this?" she asked me but I was too stunned to respond.
"It really suits you! I knew it would!" I said and she smiled. "How did Connor react?"
"He didn't see it yet. But Astra, did you buy me all those clothes?" she asked. I knew that some of them will not like me buying clothes for them, but I really wanted to.
"Yes I did! I hope you like them!"
"That's too much. I can't accept them.", she said.
"You'll have to. I mean look how good it suits you! Please don't feel bad. Zack and I have a lot of money and buying you clothes didn't affect us at all.", I explained to her and saw worry just disappear from her face. Then she moved a bit to see her dress move around.
Just then Connor walked in kitchen and I swear his mouth dropped. He just looked at her for few seconds and then pulled her by her waist to him.
"You're beautiful.", he said to her. I saw my boyfriend proudly smile at him.
Zack always was father figure to Connor. After he started to live with us, Zach did everything to get him on right track again and we haven't seen Connor smile this much ever since he came here. Usually he would just stay in his room and occasionally come hang out with Zach and me. Now he is never in his room. I talked to Zack about Connor a lot of times. About how he would get high in secret and had to start from beginning every single time, how he is too stubborn to let go of that girl Mia, how we fear for him. But last few days all we talked about was how Connor got better thanks to Ema.
Malia came to kitchen too in blue jeans and pink t-shirt. Almost all clothes we bought here were in pastel colors since that's all we saw her wear.
After packing lunch, we all sat in Zack's car and went to the city where magic show was held.
"We could mess with magician with our powers.", Malia said as joke but I knew all of us will try to do that somehow. "I wonder who is a master of hallucinations here?"
Ema laughed and nodded. She will help us mess with him then. "But I never did that big hallucination. I can try.", she said with confidence. I knew she can do much more than she found out she can. Same was with Zack, Connor and me. At first, I could barely move water. Now I can move inside of it. Connor had close to no control of his power and look at him now. He can come to basically everywhere.
We arrived at magic show with human GPS called Connor. One more thing he did perfectly was navigate. Perks of his power, I guess.
We bought tickets and went inside. Then show started. Most were basic card tricks that I loved. After them, we decided to start our part. I saw Ema relax on her seat and close her eyes.
Then chills went all over me.
Not just me but over Connor, Zack and Malia too. I felt fear without knowing what was I afraid of.
One man came from behind the stage. He stood in the middle of stage.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have special guests today.", man said. He looked at us. Just who is that? He had golden hair and casual clothes. And he was young. Early 20s or something.
"In audience, we have special magicians. Children that will bring us apocalypse. Everyone please give a round of applause to Astra, Zack, Malia, Connor and Ema!"
I didn't want to move, but my body got up on its own. I was panicking. What is happening? I wanted to speak but my mouth didn't open.
"Come to the stage, children. Don't fear your creator.", man said. That can't be. Prometheus? But how?
We walked to stage without wanting to. My legs just moved. Stop this, please.
"Don't panic. He won't hurt us.", Malia said through link. "He is controlling link too, but I was allowed to try to calm you down. Listen everyone, we are safe. This is just how Prometheus works."
We stood on the stage with everyone looking at us. I could see just how many people were in audience. And there was a lot.
"Show them your magic.", man said and that's what we did. I gathered all water I could sense, earth started to shake, headache suddenly hit everyone and Connor disappeared, but people didn't react. It was like they didn't see anything.
Ema. She was making the biggest hallucination she ever did. To protect us and those people.
"You are the chosen one.", man said to Ema and disappeared into mist. I felt my body relax once more and saw Ema drop on the ground. This was too much for her. Connor instantly picked her up and disappeared. They probably went home. I looked at Malia and Zack. People in audience were still looking at us but I didn't mind.
What just happened?
