"Faking smiles, conversation, happiness and pretending to be okay are the things he will have to do whenever he is with us. Do you understand what I am trying to say?" Stephanie asked, turning to gaze at their faces.
"To be precise, everything Vinc will do in front of us will be nothing but an act. He will pretend to be happy even if he is not because he doesn't want to lose me," Stephanie expatiated while beating her chest.
"I can put up with being unhappy including not having him in my life but I can't stand seeing him lead a difficult life because of me. My heart won't be able to take it," Stephanie said, her hand clutching her chest.
"If you had planned to leave then why didn't you tell us until now? Why did you just bring up the topic?" Jennifer whose attention had been on Stephanie all this while enquired.
