After they talked some more Charlie finally decided Gael to go along with him while they left Gabrielle under Kelly's care.
It wasn't up to ten minutes after Charlie and Gael left that Bella revealed herself to the guy who had the entire sitting room all to himself.
Although it was just the two of them they didn't say a word to each other.
Bella stared into space while Kelly occasionally steal glances at the lady sitting opposite him.
"I have noticed that among all of them, you are the only one who doesn't talk a lot. Were you always like this or did you become this way after you became a vampire?" Bella broke off the awkward silence at long last.
"Me?" Kelly pointed an index finger at himself as if there was another person other than the two of them there.
"Hmm..." Kelly cleared his throat and adjusted the way he sat.
