She picked it up and forced Irene to unlock the phone.
Stephanie dialled Jennifer but there was no response. The same thing happened on her second attempt, she had made up her mind to find another alternative when she heard a stern voice at the other end.
"There is an emergency," Stephanie announced. She paced about the spacious room while on call.
"I am at the hideout now and I want you back as soon as possible. It's a matter of life and death if you may know," Stephanie informed in a calm tone.
"By matter of life and death are you perhaps hurt? Is it very serious?" Jennifer's anxious voice echoed in Stephanie's ears.
"She is not...," Stephanie disconnected the line before Irene could ruin her plans.
Stephanie tilted her head and shot Irene murderous glares after she ended the phone call.
"I thought you said calling her line meant disobeying her orders so why did you talk hmm?" questioned Stephanie.
