"Your best friend saved me from a group of men some days ago and I am grateful to her. I don't only love her fierceness but also her personality. Apart from that I harbour no other intentions towards her, believe me," Alexander said in a pitiful tone. His words and expression made Gabrielle believe his words.
"If that wasn't the case then you should have explained yourself to her. I am sure she wouldn't have treated you the way she did," Gabrielle said feeling bad for him.
"She didn't allow me to do that so how would I have done that? Besides, it looks like she dislikes me so she wouldn't have believed whatever I said," Alexander replied leaning his back against the seat.
"I will help you explain things to her so don't worry. Steph is a reasonable person so I am sure she will not treat you badly after I talk to her," Gabrielle who was moved by Alexander's pitiful expression said with a reassuring smile.
