"Why didn't you dodged or pull out your sword to challenge me? Haven't you always killed those who dare to point a sword at you?" Alex asked not lowering the sword.
"I didn't dodge because I know you would never kill me," Michelle said confidently as she used her two middle fingers to shift the blade downwards so that it wasn't aiming at her throat.
"How are you so sure of that? And didn't you always say that people are bad and that I should never trust anyone? Why are you then so confident that I would never hurt you?" Alex asked while staring into her eyes.
"I just know and I indeed said you shouldn't trust anyone since people are full of malicious intentions but I trust you. I trust that you would never harm me," Michelle said while still staring into his eyes.
