Perplexed Jennifer gave Charlie a disapproving look.
"You only said I shouldn't utter a word but you never said I should not slap senses into her if she messes up," Charlie said just to justify his actions.
"How dare you lay your hands on my face?" Stephanie asked standing up.
"I slapped you because you deserved to be slapped," Charlie said in a firm tone. He did not feel remorseful for slapping her so hard.
"Stephanie, I know you hate me but you have no right to ridicule the love I have for you," Jennifer spoke up before she could argue with Charlie.
