Chapter 49 - Bloodshed

He sent his deathly glares at the severely injured hippogriff. All he could think was bloodshed, his weapon sparked vibrantly as if producing a new sun. A power completely unknown on the whole existence, only Lynx created something this magnificent... Masamune's greatest invention of his whole existence and his past lives. With this weapon, a new King was born.

He held it, ready to strike once more, "Is this all there is to it?" mercilessly, he leaped through the hippogriff, cutting its head into half. He glared at Marie, unknowingly. "Did I pass?"

Her look was indescribable, speechless of what she had seen. Marie lost her most brilliant and strongest holy familiar, the hippogriff. "Why'd you do that?!" she ran towards the Hippogriff.

"Master Lynx. That was enough." Alexander avoided eye contact and so did Emilia.

"Don't think you'll get away with this. Sanctity Lord, test this sinner," she commanded. Just like the hippogriff, something bright showed but this time, another angel came out. Someone with unrealistic features, one glance, and as if paradise was looking at you. His aura filled with joy, hope, and light. On the other hand, Lynx looked desperate, deadly, and merciless.

"Princess Celena Estelle. I have come to your service." the angel bowed down to Marie.

"Do what you have to do. Take him down with your greatest strength." Marie commanded, still holding her hippogriff.

Lynx glared, "It's hopeless!" he shouted. "No matter how many you send. I'll give you bloodshed."

"We are two opposite beings. You are a devil and I'm a sanctity."

"I did this for you!" determined Lynx stated. Alexander and Emilia stood before their Master.

'Master really is in love.' Alexander thought to himself. 'I want to laugh but what he did was so... devil-like. Now he wants to show the bloodshed she yearns for.'

'I don't like her. One thing our prince never likes is being underestimated.'

"Enough!" a man's voice came out of the distance, with Eden,

"Ethaniel," Lynx called.

"Brother." he greeted. "Stop this. There will be no bloodshed done by my brother." he glared at the angel man.

"Princess. I will handle these vermins. Please rest still. I, Lord Calliber will bring them to their end." he said confidently in front of everyone.

"All elves, evacuate," Eden commanded, the elves left and the atmosphere grew thicker. Eden, Ethaniel, Lynx, Calliber, Marie, Athania, Emilia, and Alexander were the only ones left.

Ethaniel walked towards his brother, glaring. He was a meter away when he jumped right onto him to give him a hug. "I miss you! Where's April? and that Luciel?"

"Their back in the Den."

"I see! I just happened to pass by this stage and your names were famous, well Alexander and Emilia plus a guy named "Lynx Alpha Nigellus" and his secretary Oplius." Forgotten, Myne was hiding inside of the bushes behind the two subordinates of Lynx.

"I'm Lynx Alpha Nigellus, brother. I'm no longer part of the Acker." still in his serious tone and blazing eyes, Lynx.

"I know. You hold a tremendous power, how come I've never seen this part of you before? You are as strong or no... you're stronger than Felix himself. Way stronger." Ethaniel complimented. He knew the situation and so he tried to ease his brother knowing what was next to come.

But their meeting was stopped when Calliber flu towards the two brothers, holding still his long sword with its majestic features. A meter and the angel froze. "Are you disrespecting the royal family?" Ethaniel turned back glaring at the frozen Lord.

The ice broke and Calliber flu away from the two. "Let me handle this, brother," Ethaniel asked Lynx not bothering to look behind. "I don't want you to stain your hands in this age," he said with a sad tone, he tilted his head towards Lynx and smiled gently. "Let me do your dirty work for you."

Ethaniel walked towards the flying angel and summoned his sword, a new sword. It was thinner than a regular sword but thicker than a rapier. "This sword, forged by the greatest dwarf ever, Masamune's work created with delight and sweat. I call this sword, Iclyn Cypress."

"One of a kind." Lynx boringly said.

"A mere human? stun a lord sanctity?" Calliber exclaimed in disbelief.

"A mere lowly being, looking down on me. Judgment." he held his sword upon the sky and as if another island made out of ice came rushing down. Calliber's eyes widen as he tries to hold the glacier off the ground and away from her princess.

"Judgement?! How dare you filthy human!" he shouted and with all his might, he carried the glacier and threw it some other place. Exhausted, he called for an army of angels. "Kill that devil."

"Coward." Ethaniel glared. "Ice Glacier of Avalon." portal started opening different parts of the places, pushing out different kinds of ice towards the army of angels. Blood poured down the heavens and unto the ground. It was a massacre.

"Who are you people?!" Marie shouted. "I beg of you! Please hurt no more!"

"Ethaniel." authority in his voice that sent shivers down to each and every soul around except Myne, Alexander, Emilia, and his brother.

"Yes, brother." he stopped his power, and the ice glaciers which non-stoppingly poured towards the heavens stop.

Lynx patted the back of Ethaniel and whispered 'thank you' as he approaches the wailing Calliber who was on the ground with his ugly wings surrounded with injuries and blood. He screeched, "Devils!" Calliber cried out.

Lynx passed by him and went towards Marie. "Is the test done? I for one need no more blood," he asked.

"Please. You passed. Don't hurt any more of my fellow. Everyone, retreat!" she cried but took courage commanding her people.

"Holy Being. You are a naive princess. First, you agreed to awaken a part of majesty's power and now you underestimate him." Eden interrupted.

"Oh my. This is a massacre." a familiar voice crept in the scene.

Lynx immediately drew out his weapon and summoned the Rose Sapphire Saber. His atmosphere changed and so did the rest of them. Alexander and Emilia jumped right beside Lynx and Myne ran away. Eden shivered at the husky, monstrous, devil's voice. Ethaniel sighs.

"My Twin Brother, are you perhaps looking down on me?"
