Chapter 41 - Neutral and The Window.

They travelled inside the forest for almost an hour now. Random rustling would be heard and twigs were on the ground. The branches of small trees would often hit them. Emilia was the only save from those. She was five feet and nine inches. The small branches would often hit the tall guys. Myne was the same with Lynx six feet and five inches.

"What will we find here?"

"Certainly the window," Myne replied to Alexander who was not even looking at him. "Just two more miles and we will see a temple."

"One question. Why aren't we flying?" Alexander asked in annoyance. "The branches are very annoying you know."

"Because, Albenies was smart enough to inplace a spell just similar to the East Forest of Erast City."

'Is that so?' Lynx.

"There. I see the Temple." Emilia pointed up front.

"It will be filled with traps, each step should be precisely followed. It may will be a dangerous path even for Con Lynx. Certainly not killing him but to knock him out for 10 years would be a great damage. Be careful." Myne warned.

Everyone saw the sight of the massive temple that was surprisingly visible if you were away from it by ten kilometers. The entrance was made out of stone and had responded to the presence they had. It opened a way for them, each corner lit making everything seen including the ceiling.

"Here is where the craziness starts. This entrance is also a trap. In order to come in you have to be able to float a meter away of the ground."

"But isn't floating just going to get us lost?"

"Not if the location we are looking for is here. This area is not sealed with that magic already thus allowing us to do couple of things just for us to successfully past their test.

"Why do I feel uneasy?" Lynx said.

"That's because you should be. This area here are surrounded by such beings, they are known to be semi-deities or Demi-Godlings. The druids or also known as servant of those Gods."

"Come to think of it. Do Opliuses work for any God?" Lynx added to his question.

"We had. We were known to be the Messengers. A perfect messenger to hand those letters of the gods to their subordinates or fellow Gods." he said.

"Is that so. Hearing that, I believe you were not the the only King to have lived?" asked Emilia.

"The other ones had either suicided or left the service. I myself have no idea what I am. A malfunction I guess?"

They shook their questions and face high to their objective. If the two roads, outside the artery, is called Road of Death, this place is called Purgatory Temple. The worst place could go into, a place where you risk even your own life.

The first layers of the temple was easy enough but as they go deeper into it, the harder it had gotten. Even Myne had a hard time looking out for the right places but they managed.

"What layer are we in already?"

"I would say we are inside the fifth negative floor which would mean we are on layer 17, a little further and we will take on the hardest challenge. Something even I can't get through."

"What is it?" both Alexander and Emilia asked.

"Test of strength. Only the strong can disable the spell." He explained, tilting his head towards Lynx. "Once you cross the other side of the room, you can destroy the barrier." he told him.

"Easy." Lynx replied.

Both Alexander and Emilia smirked. 'Of course it would.' both of them thought at the same time.

The traps were laid in all the unique way, the air is even a trap. Mazes are used, physical traps are used, magic test is seen and even other things. This place will test your experience and those who aren't immature and weak will end up dying. The only way out of here was to reach the very last stage.

The layer they were in was difficult, they had to cross the other side of the room with only one leg used. If many more were used, they would have already fallen into the Purgatory, a dimension the Leader of Neutrals made for the trespassers.

They crossed the room with ease as expected, the next layer was the second to the last and the entrance to the portal room.

"Con Lynx, can you enlighten us with what you can do."

Lynx didn't face the room and looked somewhere else. He placed his left hand inside his left pocket and pointed his index finger towards the room. "Disable." he said with no energy at all.

"I told you." Myne sighed. "You have to cross the other side of the roo-"

'Impossible. How can I feel safety ness already? Is the seal broken? Did he do that?'

"I did. Such lazy spell would never be a problem to me." Lynx rolled his eyes in disappointment.

'Did he just hope to have faced something better?'

Myne shook the thought and headed to make sure it was safe. Three steps and nothing had happened. He looked at the rest and nodded.

"It's safe." He assured.

"Then let's head to the portal room. I believe someone is waiting for us." Lynx.

He walked with grace that made the three even more inclined to be in his service. Each step he took brought out grace and pride, it was powerful even for a guardian. At that moment, Alexander and Emilia thought he would have leveled with the Gods already.

Emilia placed both of her hands on her back and sneaked behind Myne. "That is our King." she whispered. Myne's face grew serious and even more proud.

"We expected you, Sir." an elf, tall, beautiful, strong, radiating, and had brought some crazy presence greeted Lynx with such a friendly manner.

"Get to the point."

"Get out. You are not welcome here." just like that, gravity brought both Alexander and Emilia down pinned on the ground.

Lynx 's eyes grew vicious, it radiated the color of the sea and the strength of the waves. "Are you commanding me?" He asked with all the annoyance. He had made the elf tremble into fear.

"Monster, you even had the gut to hide your true capabilities." she gave out the most evil smile.

"How dare you, a dark elf, tell me what to do." Lynx stepped toward her pinning her harder in the ground. "Someone who hides their true forms and has a gut to tell me about hiding my force." He stopped and gave out his most angry face. "How dare you ridicule me?" everything went dark for the dark elf's vision. "Die." mercilessly, he stared pitifully at the elf.

"Enough," another elf went out of the portal and stopped the ambience Lynx carried. "Mercy. Give her mercy, your majesty."

"You dare defy my aura?" Lynx.

"Con. She isn't someone who would want to hurt you nor defy you." Myne interrupted.

Lynx faced Myne and walked passed him. He sat down the stairs and brushed his hands of letting Myne handle things.

"Our desire is plain. To unite with the Queen, the only intent we had in place. We mean no war nor misery. Lead to where we desire and there shall no elves that sheds blood." Myne brought out his seriously handsome but intense face...
