Early the next morning, Nathan woke up with the tablet on his chest. Nathan could vaguely remember what had happened last night after he had watched Roxie's goodbye video for him, so Nathan tried to turn on the tablet. However; the tablet's battery had died and Nathan gave up. Nathan then slowly got off from where he slept and walked downstairs to the kitchen to eat breakfast. When Nathan had entered the kitchen; Calvin, Paul and Cassie were there eating breakfast.
"Hey; look who finally decided to come out and join us!" Calvin said sarcastically. Nathan quietly smiled and chuckled as he said good morning to Calvin.
"How are you feeling mate?" Paul asked Nathan.
"Besides the fact that my stomach has been grumbling for the past few minutes; I feel ok." Nathan sighed. Paul, Calvin and Cassie looked at each other; surprised of how calm Nathan was with his response. All of a sudden Landon entered the kitchen.
"Oi; Nathan finally came out of hiding! I guess Roxie's video worked, eh?" Landon jokingly asked Nathan as he patted Nathan on the back.
"Well, I wouldn't say it helped me. I don't know-it just made me-." Nathan remarked.
"It just makes you miss Roxie even more," Cassie added. Nathan couldn't help but put his head down and not look into Cassie's concerned eyes. Cassie then got up from where she was sitting, walked over to Nathan and gently forced him to look at her. "You don't have to pretend to be happy just so we can move on with our lives. If you truly care about Roxie; you would have done whatever it took to make her stay." she pointed out to him.
"Even if I did; she wouldn't listen to me?! Plus, I'd be telling Roxie to give up on a career that she's been dreaming of for most of her life!" Nathan stated.
"Look, Nathan; you being stuck cooped up in this house feeling all sad and depressed won't solve this predicament between you and Roxie. Maybe if you would go over and physically talk to her-." Calvin suggested.
"What; and hope that Roxie might just change her mind or suddenly have an epiphany and decide to stay after I admit to her that I can't imagine my life without her and that I care about her more than life itself?!" Nathan retorted.
"Well; do you?" Paul asked.
"I mean I guess-I don't know?!" Nathan grumbled. Cassie then grabbed Nathan by the hand and Nathan looked at her.
"The last thing that Roxie said to me yesterday before she left with Annie was that if there is one thing that she would appreciate from all of us is some form of honesty about how we all felt about her going back to New York. She also said that with what is happening right now between the two of you is understandable and is willing to give you the time and space to figure out what you're feeling. But she also told me that when it comes for that time for the two of you to talk to each other, that it doesn't happen when she's already left and is back in New York. If you really truly care about Roxie; you know where to go and what to do. You don't have to say anything perfect; as long as she feels the same way as you, you will be fine." Cassie told Nathan. In that moment, Nathan knew that Cassie was right. When it came to whatever was on his mind or what he was feeling; Nathan knew that Roxie wasn't going to judge him in anyway. All Nathan really had to do was just grab hid dad's old motorbike keys and ride over to the London airport and stop Roxie from leaving the UK. So; without even thinking, Nathan rushed back up to his attic loft, grabbed the keys to the motorbike and walked out the front door of the house.
"You're really considering on going to stop Roxie from going back to New York?" Calvin asked.
"You've got any better ideas?" Nathan asked.
"Yeah; I think you should reconsider this. If you stop Roxie, you're literally telling her to stop going after her dream of becoming an author." Calvin stated.
"You don't think I don't know that?! Why do you think we were having Roxie here as our new personal assistant in the first place!" Nathan retorted.
"We kept Roxie here as our new personal assistant in the first place because it was your bloody idea, remember?! Bet I didn't think I'd remember about that, did you mate?" Calvin remarked. Nathan then got so agitated and angry, that he lunged forward to punch Calvin in the face; but Paul and Landon stepped in immediately before anything else happened.
"That's it; I've had it with the both of you arguing back and forth about Roxie. Yes; what Nathan is trying to do is clueless and irresponsible, but those two qualities; no matter ho ridiculous they are, make Nathan the person he is and as his band mates and best mates; we can't change that about him. What we need to do is find the fastest route to the airport before Roxie's flight leaves and maybe think of a better solution in trying to convince Roxie to stay with us." Paul said.
"Actually we first need to figure out what time Roxie's plane leaves the airport and I think the only people who would know that is either Scott or Lexie." Landon pointed out.
"Right; well you lot call Lexie and Scott while I ride over to the airport." Nathan said as he put on his motorbike helmet.
"In the meantime; do you want us to try to get a hold of Roxie?" Calvin asked.
"You can try, but I highly doubt it she'll have her phone on." Nathan stated. Nathan then turned on the motorbike and waited until it was warmed up.
"Hey Nate, just think about what I said earlier; ok?" Calvin stated.
"Don't worry Calvin; I know what I'm doing," Nathan reassured him. "I just hope what I want to say to Roxie in my head comes out right." he sighed.
"Well, from what I've noticed these past 3 months; you and Roxie had a rocky start, but after a while you both started to trust each other, your relationship started to get better. Roxie will understand where this is all coming from; just don't make a total idiot in front of the paps ok?" Calvin chuckled. Nathan just laughed and nodded. Meanwhile Paul came up next to both Calvin and Nathan.
"Any news?" Nathan asked.
"So far I've got nothing. Landon is trying to get a hold of Annie or Tom to see if they know anything. You sure you don't want the three of us to go with you?" Paul asked Nathan.
"No; I'd appreciate your help, but this something I need to deal with alone with Roxie. Besides; someone's got to be here to watch Cassie." Nathan mentioned as he looked back at the house. All of a sudden Landon came running up to Paul, Calvin and Nathan with Cassie.
"What's up?" Calvin asked.
"I just got off the phone with Annie. According to her; Annie has no idea when Roxie is supposed to leave the UK. All she knows is that someone was supposed to pick up Roxie from your aunt and uncle's pub around 9 o'clock this morning." Landon said.
"9 o'clock?! That's not enough time! It's going to be 9 in 45 minutes." Calvin gasped.
"That's exactly what Landon and I thought when we heard Annie's response." Cassie pointed out.
"Well in that case; I better get a move on then." Nathan said once the motorbike was warmed up. Nathan released the motorbike's brake and rode away from the others; leaving them and the house in the dust.
