Rose In The Academy

The story starts when a beautiful young woman named Cordelia Si Flora saves a child from falling on a window in a fifth floor inn, she uses her nature-like powers to produce vines and catch the child, safely landing him to the ground.

The admiration and cheers for her from the people in the marketplace caughtthe attention of an imperial knight who was passing by for their regular weekly inspection.

The incident was reported by the same knight to the emperor of Bogdan, who then gave the order to summon Cordelia in the imperial palace as soon as he learned that the young woman has a golden blonde hair.

The young woman has many potential and can be a great asset to the empire in the future, after Cordelia caught the interest of the emperor of Bogdan, Luther De Abel, he then plans to give her an offer.

Cordelia was granted a full scholarship to Bogdan Academy in exchange for working for the empire after she graduates.

Since Cordelia only has her mother, an old manor, and a piece of property that her late father gave her, she decided to accept the opportunity in order to provide her mother a better standard of living and improve the beauty of their property.

The wealthy nobility who has magical abilities—which they referred to as "gifts"—attend Bogdan Academy.

Due to the high enrollment costs and lack of knowledge regarding how to properly show their powers, commoners and offspring of poor nobles are unable to attend.

Commoners are obliged to have their gifts sealed as soon as they manifest it, and if they fail to seal their children's gift, they will be punished for treason.

Only selected commoners or wealthy individuals are permitted to attend and will only have their gifts unsealed after they enter the academy.

For the academy, graduation requires four years of education. Given her intelligence, Cordelia successfully passed the acceleration exam, and as a result, she was promptly elevated to third year and placed among other aristocrats her age which is seventeen.

She worked an all-night shift at the small bakery her family owns on her first day of school, and since they don't have a coachman to drive their carriage and aren't wealthy enough to hire one, she woke up late. Now that she's catching her breath, she's running to school carrying all her stuff.

She runs into a tall, attractive young man who she caught sneaking through the fences to enter and get past the school guards who gives punishment to latecomers. He has dirty blonde hair and onyx-colored eyes.

She had long, wavy golden blonde hair and beautiful light brown eyes, which astounded the young man.

Cordelia initially declines when he suggests they sneak inside together, but she eventually agrees so that her high marks for being on time won't suffer.

He introduced himself as  Eros Uy Apollo, son of a viscount.

Cordelia also identifies herself as such in her introduction as a poor baron's daughter who obtained a scholarship from the emperor.

They gradually became friends, and as time went on, they both developed feelings for one another. They even met up in secret at a location they had just learned about.

Being quite a lady's man, Eros fell in love with Cordelia since she was the first person to turn down his advances.

On the other side, Cordelia fell in love with him because he was the first person at the academy to accept her and become her first friend.

Before finding out that Eros was actually the crown prince, Angeal De Abel, Cordelia was already in love with him.

In order to conceal his identity from other nobles, he disguised himself. He shows her his silver hair and purple eyes, which are well-known characteristics of a member of an imperial family.

Even though Cordelia already loves the crown prince, she begins to ignore him since she feels so betrayed. She also believes that a crown prince who will succeed as the next emperor is not a match for a daughter of an impoverished baron like herself.

After learning that Cordelia and the crown prince had been hanging out together, Daphne Il Viva, the crown prince's fiancée and the arrogant daughter of the Prime Minister of Bogdan who was also a duke's daughter, started to bully Cordelia.

The major villain of the book is Cain El Blanc, a duke's son who assumes Cordelia is the girl he met when he was younger.

It is disclosed that Cain and Angeal are cousins. The emperor's sister is Cain's mother, and the two boys have been rivals since they were children. Every time they were compared, Angeal was said to be the better one.

Cain was abused as a child; his parents was only married for political reasons. Gedeon El Blanc, Cain's father, is a well-known womanizer who is constantly out. He only returns home when his mother is not present and when he brings home women.

As a former princess and the mother of Cain, Duchess Elainne El Blanc has her own responsibilities, such as the fact that she was forced to abandon her true love in order to marry Duke El Blanc. She resorts to Cain as a way to vent her wrath whenever she learns that her husband has returned home with a different woman, and she also does so because Cain resembles Gedeon so strongly and acts as a reminder of her husband's infidelity.

While Elainne was drunk and beating Cain mercilessly, Cain accidently killed his mother by using his gift one day.

After the incident, everyone loathed him, and he grew up with no friends.

Even one of his father's mistresses tries to take advantage of him, but in an attempt to defend himself, he also unintentionally kills her. His nanny Claire, who was actually a spy sent over to kill him, was the only person who cared for him.

She eventually begged him to spare her life, but he killed her when he realized that her true purpose was to poison him. Once a very happy child, the little boy grew into the person that everyone fears.

Cain had begun to lose faith in people, but when he met a young girl who he believed to be Cordelia and who fed him a chocolate and smiled at him—something no one had ever done to him—his hardened heart softened.

Although Cordelia was already in love with Cain's rival, Angeal, Cain fell in love with her because she surrounded him with warmth.

Out of jealousy, Daphne kidnaps Cordelia with the intention of killing her. When Cain learnt of Daphne's plans, he became enraged because he had hired someone to track Cordelia and gather information.

Cordelia is saved by Cain, who was compelled to kill Daphne as retaliation for almost killing her. Cain frightened Cordelia, who told him that she only loved Angeal and that she will never fall in love with a murderer.

After being deeply hurt by her words, he decides to steal her for himself. He confines her up in an abandoned house in the center of a forest, but Cordelia is released by Angeal, and they are able to fully admit their love for one another once they returned to the Academy.

In order to kill Angeal and reclaim Cordelia, Cain followed them to the academy out of extreme rage and jealousy. When Cain's power grew out of hand, he killed several innocent academy students.

After Angeal overpowered him, Cain used his own power to kill himself because he no longer had any desire to live anymore. Before he dissolved like a speck of dust and was blown away by the wind, he flashed Cordelia a loving smile and told her that he loves her.

The two of them successfully gained the emperor's consent and were able to marry when Angeal and Cordelia graduates. Innocent victims were laid to rest close to the academy. Daphne's family, especially her father, who admits that he neglected her in the past years mourned the death of Daphne deeply.

But nobody mourned for Cain; everyone simply remembered him as the real villain.

The "Rose in the Academy" was actually a tragic (awful) lovestory and just mostly revolves around Cordelia's life inside the academy.

I actually feel bad for Cain despite him being a villain.

Growing up without friends, with abusive parents, and witnessing Claire, the person he first cared for, betray him. He stopped having faith in people.

The only person who could have brought him back to life was Cordelia, but he also lost her, so he took the decision to just end his life.

But you know what?

I actually don't feel THAT sorry for him!

You ask why?

Because my friend from a previous life created this story, that is why. The character, who shares my second name, dies!

She was confirmed as one of the innocent students who died and were buried close to the school as a result of a (idiotic) love triangle.

I transmigrated here as that character, but I'm not willing to let myself die! In order for me to live peacefully and before the villain turns evil, I must befriend him!

The heroine will not appear for another two years! I can manage this.

I'll successfully complete my education, establish my own business, and enjoy a great life all by myself!

Hahahaha!
