Chapter 35 - Discoveries

When Adam turned around, he already knew it was Michael.

Michael was God's strongest warrior, so to send him to the cathedral first was understandable. Yet, he also knew that the elder angel was expecting the cathedral, not him. Swords clash and sparks flew, until they were pushed away from one another.

"Why did you not fly?" the warrior, the general, questioned him with his hawk eyes.

"Because I cut off my wings," the reply came rolling of his smiling lips.

The reaction of Michael was priceless: mouth hung, eyes bugged, and even his hands loosened dramatically on the sword. If anyone asked Adam if the loyal angel only had a stoic face, he would had said yes in a heartbeat. Seeing him now though… the wingless angel let out a short laugh. The sound of his laughter caught the elder's ears, snapping him out of his shock.

"That is impossible," the angel stated tightening his hold.
