Chapter 84 - Normalcy

"What?" He moved to her side, "I am not a killer."

She turned to him and they were facing one another, laying on their sides. 

"I'm not a thief either," she searched his face, "Just a poor unfortunate girl."

"And I am just an ordinary guy who happens to own a store," he placed his palm against her cheek, "What now?"

She breathed out a smile and closed her eyes. This man… this stranger named Adam did not feel like a stranger. He did not look like a stranger. Did that mean he wasn't a stranger? Maybe she knew him before she fell into a coma? But wouldn't he recognize her? Unless… he was also woke up from a coma?

'That is crazy,' she told herself, 'You've never met him before.'

It didn't sound convincing.

"I'm tired," she sighed and felt the cover lift over her, before his arms wrapped around her. Pressed close together, she could hear the strong beats of his heart. That made her feel safe, comfort, and relief.
