Five. That was how many times they were interrupted today, and he was annoyed. He understood how clingy Little fire was, but couldn't the child leave them alone for an hour? Heck! He would even take ten minutes!

Looking at the clock, he let out a huff noting he would need to leave to work in five minutes. Glancing at Eve whose attention was on Little fire's drawing of scribbles and dots. The longer he watched the more he felt guilty for even being annoyed. It wasn't the child's fault nor was it his lovers. This was… so domestic.

'Family,' he told himself and his whole body seemed to relax at that thought, 'This is nice.'

"Alright, I gotta head down to my job," he announced and kneed down to place a kiss on the child's head.

"Do work hard, my love," Eve smiled and kissed him softly.

"Mm," he sighed with the curl of his lips, "Knowing you'll be here when I return, I hope time goes fast."
