His breathing was irregular and there was a prickling against his eyes. Shutting it quickly, he took a deep breath and stomped away. Away from his flirtatious brother, away from the way his heart was hurting, away from the pain he was feeling.
'Stupid,' Gabriel told himself.
Why was he feeling this way? He should never feel… jealous? Envious? He doesn't like this feeling.
"I want to call you Gabby," his brother stated stubbornly, breaking him from his thoughts.
"I don't want you to."
"Why? Give me a good reason."
"If I say to stop, you should."
"You never had an issue before."
"I am too old for nicknames. Besides, you have plenty of nicknames for others. I'm sure they don't care, but I don't want mine."
"Wait, what? You aren't making sense Gabby."
"I told you to stop calling me that!"
"No."
