"JANET!" I scream looking for her. I see what remains and I have to look away and throw up seeing her legs and nothings else.

I turn back to where Suites hit the ground and Bavarthos has tied Suites up.

"Come on we need to leave before Vartonix starts getting serious." Bavarthos grabs hold of Suites and motions for me to join him.

He snaps us to where John and the rest of our platoons are, just north, where there's still fighting going on. There's a thousands of foot soldiers, but very little in heavy fire power, which seemed to be sent to our last location and farther north in Algeria.

All around us, we were giving them hell as heavy fire power on our side rained down on the Erl's forces. The screams and shouts of the fighting and dying men filled the air.

"What should we do with him?" Bavarthos asks, gesturing to Suites body that's slowly regenerating.

"Throw him somewhere he can't cause any trouble." I say shaking my head, "He needs to be checked for any bugs or communication devices."

"Then I'll send him to Viekar for that." Bavarthos snaps Suites away, returning his attention to the battle.

'Poor Janet. I can hardly wait to get my hands on this mother for putting a gun to my ....'

"HIS GUN!" I grab Bavarthos. "We need to go get his gun, I think there's more bullets in there."

Bavarthos nods, "Let's go."

We snap back, having to duck immediately as the bodies of the Erl's troops went flying over our heads, slamming against the wreckage of buildings rubble.

Vartonix was leaping and bounding over the tanks, smashing with every landing of his paws, swinging his clubbed tail like a tennis racket.

"SIN! Focus! Find the gun! He could hit us and never even realize it." Bavarthos pulls me toward where we were just moments ago, dodging debris and bodies that fly through the air at random intervals from Vartonix's tail.

"This is an odd place for two people to be, combing the ruins while a battle rages on." An unknown voice freezes us where we are.

Looking for the source my eyes rest upon a wicked looking troll. His grey complexion and arms that can touch his knees with out having to bend, gives his race away immediately. His amused expression doesn't reach his eyes though as he holds a gun at us. The gun we came here for.

"Odd place to see someone by himself as well, I would say." Bavarthos gives him a steely gaze while cocking his head. "You're not part of the kings army."

A sneer forms on the trolls face, crinkling his nose, right before he spits a massive loogie, making my own face scrunch up in disgust.

We all flinch as stones and pebbles fly around, a few pelting us in a stinging rain.

"You don't look like you're part of it either." The troll grunted. "You part of the humans army then?"

I nod as I give Bavarthos a glance from my peripheral vision. He stands still, every muscle tense and his eyes are constant on the troll.

The body of an Erl's soldier fly's over our heads, smacking into ground with a dull thump.

The troll sighs, relaxing the gun in his hand. "Well, things are getting out of hand here, leave." He waves the gun for us to go, noticing our hesitation.

"We need that gun you have." Bavarthos says not moving an inch.

"Why?"

"We need it to prosecute a war criminal." I say quickly. "If you want a weapon, I'll give you mine that's just like it." I point to the piece still in it's holster attached to my leg.

The ground shakes as Vartonix jumps closer to our position swinging his tail back out into the hoard of enemy soldiers, roaring as he did so.

"Fine, toss your gun first!" He keeps switching his gaze back and forth between us and Vartonix giant mass jumping around and swinging his tail.

I pull it out and remove the clip before tossing the empty gun to him.

"HEY!" He roars at me.

"You'll get the clip and an extra full one, once we get that gun and ammo!" Bavarthos yells at him.

The toll grunts, "We toss at the same time then!"

I look at Bavarthos for confirmation, he nods stiffly watching the troll all the while.

I take both clips and ready to toss them. "On three. One...two...three!"

We toss them to each other and we quickly snap away from the there.

I drop the clip and it has bullets in it. These are glowing green though. Not red.

Leaning in to let B know, with all the chaos going on, I still have to yell to him. "B, they're green..!"

He looks at me and grabs the gun, snapping it away. "We'll just keep our eyes peeled as before! We'll figure the rest out later!"

One of my soldiers comes running up to us at this moment. "Major General Sin, we have an array of enemy tanks coming from the south to our location. Do I have your permission to call in the DS's, the demon snipers?"

"Permission granted. Why didn't you use the coms, Captain?" I ask confused.

He points to our coms tower. It's on fire. "I have an MU snapping back and forth form HQ. A teams already building another one a hundred yards back."

"Thank you, Captain." He leaves with the dismissal and I can only shake my head.

'Why in the hell, did they build the coms tower so close to the front line?'

I reach for my assault rifle and remember it was traded out.

'Damn it.'

The realization must have been too evident on my face, because the next second Bavarthos was shaking his head.

"Let's have some fun, shall we?" He grins at me as he shouts his suggestion.

Glancing down at his hand that was moving a mass of golden glowing lines wiggled down to the ground and shot off whizzing out of sight in an instant.

"Where are those going to?"

Smiling, he leans back over, "Come with me and you'll see."

I nod and he snaps us up to the top of a building and we duck down behind raised part to avoid becoming targets. Looking out through the grated gutters, we watched as off in the main mass of soldiers, large circles of them just stopped moving and fell.

The golden lines came rushing back and I trembled with excitement at the rush I knew was about to receive. The golden line flowed to me and Bavarthos, filling us with power. My heart fluttered as the euphoria washed over me in a wave from my toes to my head and back down again. I sucked my bottom lip in and moaned at how good it felt. Opening my eyes, my breath seemed cleared, my sight could focus farther, and it felt like I could hear and feel so much more.

I cracked my neck, pulled my blades out and grinned at Bavarthos.

"B, let's do this."

We snap out to the middle of the circles where only bodies still lay. Using our powers, quickly we advance, moving anything that was light and loose on the ground up and flying towards the enemy. Startled cries ring out before we swiftly advance striking with steel or magic, dropping our enemies in our wake. Right as we were starting to get encircled we would snap farther into the circle, drawing the soldiers back into the circles.

Some were smart enough to not enter the circle. Others tried to rally and lead their comrades in a battle charge, crying for our blood as they fired at us. Bavarthos would snap us to the next circle repeating the cycle until each one was full of unwary soldiers. Then we would get another recharge as bodies dropped in the circles again.

"Coms are back on!" A enthusiastic voice shouts in our ears.

"Good to hear. What's the status report?" I ask quickly.

"Sending that info now."

I get a message on my visor and a map pops up.

"Got the map. Explain."

The map highlights certain areas south of our position as the tech starts to explain.

"Demon snipers have stopped caravan of heavy equipment heading your way. Enemy troops are still in bound. DS's are taking shots at random into the hordes. North of your position,"the map moves as does the highlights. "we're taking heavy fire, but air support is two minutes en route to aide our allies there."

"Okay. Anything else?"

The map moves back down to the area where we initially were at.

"HQ is confused over the lack of troops at your original location. They want to know if you have anything to do with the unidentified beast terrorizing the enemy there."

I chuckle and shake my head.

"I'll take that as yes, Sin." Thietian's voice comes over the coms.

"I can't take all the credit now." I mutter as I scan my own soldiers holding their ground and even pressing back against the tide.

"Of that I'm well aware. You have reinforcements coming your way from the south. We're going to box these guys in and force a surrender." Thietian adds.

"Copy that." I acknowledge and see that the same message has been sent out too.

"Mary, did you get the message?" John asks over the coms.

"Yes. How are you doing over there?" I ask hearing the shouting in the background as he issues a command.

"IF you two have a desire to get over here and cause some mayhem with your circles, we could be doing better." "CORPOREAL YOU KEEP THOSE MEN BEHIND THOSE WALLS!" John shouts to someone before coming back to us. "Today would be great, my love."

"On our way."
