Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 - Victoria's POV

I woke up on the bay window again, and Leo was still asleep in the bed. The sun was already up and I had no idea what time it was. I decided to give Leo a hug to say thank you for everything. For some reason that simple present made me trust him a little more. he woke up when I gave him a hug and gave me a simply smile. I got up out of the bed and went back to the bay window to carry on reading a new book. "Here, read this. It will help you understand vampires more." Leo said and handed me an old book. It was the history of vampires. Leo got ready for the day and I started to read the book. Now I understood how they could walk in sunlight and Forever's. The book said this on Forever's.

'Forever's are the most important part of a vampires eternal life. Once a vamp finds their Forever and drink their blood for the first time they will gain an elemental power. Future kings and queens will get all five elemental powers. Once a vampire drinks their Forever's blood, they will not be satisfied with other blood. They can still drink it but they will need to drink it more often and more of it.'

Leo had to drink my blood to stay strong. Does that mean he's been drinking other blood? Why was I upset about this? I had only really just meet him. But he saved me twice. He only hurt me once because of a stupid mistake. He accepts me, and he doesn't push me. I decided to get dressed and ask Leo about it. I went downstairs to the kitchen and couldn't see anyone there. A beautiful woman walked in to the kitchen from outside. She had long red hair and bright green eyes. She looked about 25. On her back were the purest white wings I had ever seen. I stood there unsure of what to say next. He came up to me with an amazing smile. "Hi, I'm Leo's mum. You must be Victoria." She said and held out her hand. I nodded and shook her hand weakly. I gave her a small smile too. She saw the book I had and told me where Leo was. She walked me to Tristian's office which was near the kitchen, just down the corridor. I knocked on the door and went in. there was a guy there that I hadn't seen before. For some reason he scared me a bit. Annie looked terrified and was clinging to Tristian who looked ready to attack. I said that I wanted to ask Leo a question and the other guy just circled me with a smirk on his face. Leo pulled me away from him and ended up taking me back to his room so we could talk. Whoever that guy was, he scared me and Annie and managed to piss off Leo and Tristian. I would have to ask Leo or Annie about that later. Me and Leo had a nice long talk about all the questions I had regarding everything. Leo would need to drink my blood but he said he would wait until I was 100% ready first. He didn't want to rush me in any way. He also told me that the other guy was called Harris which was his older half-brother. They didn't really get along which is why he wasn't supposed to be around here. We spent the rest of the day watching movies with Tristian and Annie. We had pizza for dinner before we decided to go to bed. I still slept on the bay window because I don't think I wanted to share the bed yet. Leo excepted this and went to sleep on the bed.

I woke up, or at least I thought I was awake. I was in a what looked like the garden only without the swimming pool. There were lanterns everywhere with candles in them. Where was I? All the ladies were wearing floor length dresses with Victorian styled hair. The whole thing was Victorian style. What was going on? I started to walk around and no one could see me. I found Leo's mum though and she didn't look too impressed with who she was talking to. She was talking to a small bald fat man who said that a woman had no place in deciding who to trade with. At this point Leo appeared. He looked exactly the same. His hair was longer and tied back and he looked uncomfortable too. A girl around 15 I think arrived at the bald man's side. They all started to talk about marriage and Leo declined the offer. This made the bald man angry which looked funny. Now I was in Leo's room. He was writing at his desk when the girl from before came in and tried to seduce him. I thought he was actually going to sleep with her but he didn't. instead he did something worse. He killed her. He bit her. She started to scream and he kept drinking his blood. After, he grabbed her hair and pulled her head off. What the hell? There was blood everywhere and I was crying. I couldn't believe he did that. Could he do that to me? "Leo, are you in here?" I heard Tristian ask. I looked behind me and Tristian looked the same too. He was dressed like Leo. He smiled when he saw Leo and started to laugh at the body. "What are you going to do when you find your Forever?" Tristian asked as he took a drop of blood.

"Well, my Forever is going to be perfect. The perfect body, personality, strong smart and she will do whatever I say." Leo said smiling. I wasn't anything that he wanted. "And what if she isn't?" Tristian asked. "Then I'll lock her in the dungeons for her blood and find someone else to be my queen." He replied honestly. I was crying even harder now. I wanted to wake up. This didn't happen. It was just a dream.

I did wake up crying hard. I covered my mouth so Leo didn't hear. I looked on the floor and there wasn't a blood stain. But that's where he killed the girl. I saw Harris sitting at the end of the bay window. "I'm sorry, I had to show you. That was Leo's memory." Harris said before leaving. He just flew out of the window. That was Leo's memory? That means it actually happened. But Harris could be lying. He could have made it up. I wasn't ready to find out. I packed a bag and left. I headed downstairs and out of the door making sure I was as quiet as possible. I ran out and ran to the beach again. I had a bag packed with everything that I would need. I had some clothes and wash things. I sat by the tree and looked out. what the hell was I doing? I had nowhere to go. "Well, what's a gorgeous girl like you doing out here?" He asked. He had pitch black hair and almost red eyes. Who was he? I didn't reply. "I'm Marcus, can you talk?" He asked and sat down near me. I shook my head and he thought for a moment. "If you let me we can still communicate if you let me read your mind." Maybe this would be ok. I nodded and he asked me my name. I told him my name was Vicky. He asked what I was doing and I simply replied I didn't know anymore. I wanted to be free. I had never had a life of my own and I wanted to know what it was like before I settled down. "Come with me then. I'm going to the Isle of Wight to meet an old friend. She works in a little bakery with an apartment on top if you want." Marcus said and I thought for a moment. This could be fun right. I had never been anywhere before. So I agreed and I was on a boat travelling to the Isle of Wight.
