The Xethova City walls are up high, it looks indestructible while looking from the outside. It was believed to be one of the impenetrable cities of the empire and has never been under siege in many years. It is widely known throughout the Empire territories that it was not besieged by any of the Coalition kingdoms forces or the Republican forces. Because of its tight security and surrounded by many Military Corps that will come to its aid as a supporting power. That is why enemy strategy from both Republican and Coalition forces was having a hard time to be able to penetrate into the innermost cities of the Empire like the Xethova. To add Xethova is one of the old capital of the Telonian grand kingdom which was the pinnacle standing grand kingdom to be able to conquer other known kingdoms.

Artirian POV
It was noon and the sun was giving warm sunlight across the blooming field and as it got to its highest point of the day it was exhaustingly hot. The wind is warmer than usual, and the sky is clear blue and the birds are flying freely. As the people are bustling from the main roads to market places. The nearby villages are still bustling with merchants and travelers that came from other major cities in the Empire until we reach the Xethova city gates which are also having traffic of Merchant caravans and wagons from a set of travelers.
I would take a small glimpse of Vince who was reading a type of book that is required for the entrance exam of the Divine Empire Military Academy. The Carriage Driver would stop in front of an inn and then he would open the door for us. The Inn looks luxurious in a way that it is colored white in the outside and a bit like a manor house it also has a gate before we enter the compound directing to the Inn.
I and Vince would get down from the carriage and grab our packs and head in. We are welcomed by few Ushers as we enter. I could see many noble teenage teens that are going to enter the Divine Empire Military Academy because of a badge that is a star badge that is pinned on their left chest.
As I looked and observed, we were greeted by a middle-aged man with a butler uniform and as he looked at me he was smiling jolly his smile would reach his cheeks and with a welcoming tone of voice "HELLO! Welcome to Artemis Inn I am glad to welcome you Young Master Vince and who are you young man are you Artirian?"
Vince would just nod while I replied smiling "Yes I am Artirian" The jolly man would look at me with a narrowed look and look from my clothes as I am wearing an old tunic from my travels.
The jolly man would change his expression and become serious. As Vince didn't bother and then he ushered us in each of our rooms.
My room was not that big like Vince, it is comforting to my eyes to make it much minimal. As there are a comfortable room and a comfy bed there is also a midsize closet which is beside the study table. There is also a mid-size window that I can have a view of the bustling marketplace. The lights of the market place were amazing and it is getting my attention.

Artirian would walk outside and head towards the lounge and as he enters the lounge he would see two teenage girls and two teenage boys that are having a small talk. Artirian would then get to the lounge table which had some snacks the other teenage boys would then walk towards Artirian. Artirian would then grab some snacks and would then try to get some hot tea. He then heads towards an empty small table that overlooks the courtyard.
Then the 2 teenage boys would look at Artirian and get his attention "Hey kid what is your name huh do you know this is our table?" Artirian would look confused as he seated there with no one saying the table was theirs. "Artirian would look at them and reply "I am here first but if this is yours then I would then move to another table?" The two teenage boys would look pissed about how Artirian replied to them without manners. "HEY! Do you know who we are huh!? And also what our fathers' works are?!" the other teenage boys who have a blue tunic said with a frustrated look while looking at Artirian.
His eyes would look furious at Artirian but Artirian would still give a smug face and would look straight at them like he didn't care about how their fathers works are. Artirian would then say while sipping his tea "I don't know what your father's works are and I really don't need to know" .
Artirian would then give a smirk and that made the two teenage boys get infuriated and mocked. The two teenage girls would then giggle at Artirian. Then soon after that Vince would enter the lounge he then looked at Artirian and gave a smug face with the two teenage boys. He then looked at the teenage boys and said
"Give me and my friend a broken idiot's your father's job is not worthy of being mentioned in front of my friend because him" Vince stopped and pointed at Artirian "He is my greatest rival to be one of the Aide de camps of General Thornwind" Artirian would give a soft laugh hearing that. "WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT JERK!" Vince shouted while being infuriated.
Artirian would then finish his food and stand up and the two teenage boys would look humble like they didn't do anything bad. The two teenage girls with magenta and blonde hair would eye Artirian but Artirian would ignore it and head to his room. The Divine Empire Military Academy entrance exam would be the next incoming months and he needs to prepare for the incoming exam.
Few months had passed and Artirian's routine would be eating and sleeping a few exercises. And sword techniques were normal. The other boys would be having some jealous faces because of Artirians steps in honing his swordsmanship as it was always precise and accurate on its target. Artirian would be always being eyed by teenage girls that would enter the Divine Empire Military Academy.
The Divine Empire Military Academy has 5 classes for students to enter in their freshman year and those are. Tactics and strategy, cavalry and Knighthood, Management and finance, Gallant force Knight and lastly is Technology and industries. Those are the 5 main courses that a student freshman takes then in their 2nd year they would only take 2 in-depth courses that they will be focusing on. In their 3rd and 4th will be their main practical application on what they have learned and use it in real-time.
The entrance exam came Artirian would. After leaving the inn he would first head to one of the pastry shop. And he would hear some 2nd-year students that there is a new genius among the incoming first years and that is the granddaughter and grandson of General Thornwind and the other grandson of the famous 5 council patriarchs.
The grand opening ceremony of the new school year for the Divine empire military Academy is now being hosted. Artirian would be walking through its grand lane towards the main building. They were greeted by Military officers of each department. The Divine Empire Military Academy is divided into 4 departments. The Infantry department, The Cavalry department, The Artillery department and The Diviners department.
Each of these departments are also subdivided into two sub-departments from the infantry there is the light infantry division and the Heavy infantry division. Mostly in the heavy infantry division are the elite knights and while the light infantry and commissioned knight officers. Next is the Cavalry department which has 2 sub-departments are those are the light cavalry and the heavy cavalry. The heavy cavalry are suited for frontal combat, that is why they wear heavy armor while the light cavalry are equipped with muskets or bows which tend to harass the enemy.
Next is the newly founded department, the Artillery department. The Artillery department has two sud departments namely the Mortar division and the bombardier division. The Mortar divisions are tasked with developing and constructing siege equipment and engineering. While the bombardier is an open field specialist of cannon weapons or also known as field artillery. Then lastly are the Diviner department it has two divisions namely the Purifiers and the Front liners the purifiers are the type of diviners who would be seen in camps or outpost or castle hospitals the front liners are a type of diviners specialized in quick response for injuries they are found in open field battles and encounters.
Artirian would be looking at and observing each of the departments that were getting their attention from freshmen. Then a man with a 4th-year uniform would shout "ATTENTION ALL 1ST YEAR PLEASE GROUP YOURSELVES INTO 30 PEOPLE AND FORM A LINE" Artirian recognize the uniform because he saw it once at the first battle he saw in Karlingon village. Artirian would then head towards one of the forming lines.
Their bags and necessities were suddenly taken by the incoming 3rd years and 4th years but our weapons would be with us. Artirian would be seeing many types of weapons depending on the student's knowledge. Some were rapiers and some were long swords to claymores. Some have muskets and some use more different types of lances. Then came a sudden change of atmosphere the air would be filled with such fragrance.
