Back when I was still a young boy, my mother would tell us stories about magical beasts, gods, and people who possessed powers to channel their magic from their gods. My little sister and I would always get dressed in our pajamas impatiently, hopping into our bed, tucked away in our blankets like obedient children, so our mother would quickly tell us more exciting stories about this world of fantasy. Every time our mother tells us this story my sister and I would fantasize about becoming these peoples, descendants of demigods, my mother called them.
