ERICA
I pulled a strand of Fay's hair into my fingertips the fresh smell of lavender shampoo still lingers. I sighed at the closure. It's been far too long since I last got home. Everything feels so foreign now. It's almost like the house I lived in and built has changed. I turn around to face my wife.
I am so glad that I met Fay. She's the reason I can come back to this house otherwise, I would have let Gaia consume me. I let my fingertips brush past her hair and caressed her forehead as light snores slowly came out of her nostrils.
She looks like she hasn't had a proper good night's sleep. It pains me to see her this way and my failure as her wife. I couldn't bring myself to smile at this situation. So much has changed. I need to start to act. I need to get a clear understanding of what's going on. So, I got off the bed. I headed towards the closet. I pulled in a white loose T-shirt tucked inside tight black jeans.
