The white-robed, grey-haired elder looked towards the gathered crowd with a penetrating look, and he stretched his right hand forward.
Someone levitated out of the crowd and into an empty clearing in the field. It was the cold beautiful girl.
She still wore an indifferent look, but inwardly, she was surprised by the strength of the elder.
The other youths were surprised too.
To most of them, this is the first time they have seen a cultivator show a little of their strength, and they were shocked by the supernatural impossibility.

People were levitating and landing on that clearing till it was filled by a hundred people.
Zeron, Rale, and Sake were among them, but from the opposite end of the clearing with tears in her eyes.
Chulan looked toward the now-filled clearing containing a hundred people.
She saw Zeron, Rale, and Sake, who were standing there among the now-new disciples of the Sword River Association.
She gave them a dismayed smile and said inwardly

The elder eye narrowed as he thought. There was a thoughtful look in his eyes before...

Chulan was levitated where she stood and into the crowd of a hundred". She was shocked, and so were others.
The white-robed grey-haired elder then explained why he allowed one person.
It was because among the hundred selected. The cold beautiful girl was already a cultivator. So her comprehension test was voided.
But she did not need that because she already showed she was talented enough by having a superior quality spirit root and being a cultivator already.
The elder had to choose the next best result to follow, and luckily, Chulan was the one with the next best result.
She was lucky but, in another way, was not. Because it could be anybody that was chosen but because her comprehension surpassed the rest.
She was the one that won the opportunity.
The Cultivators directed the ones that failed the test outside of the large field.
Although they have failed the test. They still had a chance to be a cultivator if the opportunity came.
The white robed grey-haired elder looked towards the crowd.
He looked at the gathered youths whose eyes shone in excitement for having passed the test and becoming a disciple of the sect.
He smiled at them. Then said
"Congratulations to you all for becoming the sect disciple"
"I am the third elder. You can call me Elder Lei".
"I am the elder in charge of recruitment, and I will be the one who will carry out your third test personally".
"The third test is equally as important as the other test because the one with the highest score in the third test will receive a foundational pill".
None of the youths reacted because they didn't know what's a foundational pill, but the sect disciples who were there looked at them in envy.
Elder Lei smiled as he saw that there was no reaction from the youths.
He then continued.
"A foundational pill is a pill that permanently increases your speed of cultivation in the body tempering rank by two hundred percent!"
There was pandemonium among the youths. Everyone was shocked by the efficiency of the pill".
Some ambitious ones were already thinking of how they would surpass the superior quality spirit roots with this pill and become the best out of their sect.
The only one who wore an indifferent look was the cold beautiful girl.
It was as if that pill wasn't worth her time, and she had seen better. Even Zeron had an excited face but he frowned because he knew it wasn't going to be easy to get it.
Elder Lei looked at the excited youth and said in a casual tone.
"The third test and the final test, which will determine the owner of the foundational pill, start now".

There was a titanic pressure that descended on the youths.

The moment Zeron fell was the moment the pressure was released. Sake wobbled his body, and as he could not stand steadily. He fell.
The white, grey-haired elder Lei looked towards the now dead-tired fatty and smiled.
"The test is now over"
"The winner would receive his pill in the sect when he is registered!"
Elder Lei then signaled one of the sect disciples that after the youths had rested. They should be taken to the sect.
As Elder Lei was about to go. He looked towards the curly-haired boy and asked him.
"Boy, what's your name?".
Zeron looked up towards the kind elder who had grey hair with some wrinkles on his face.
He replied, "My name is Zeron Plum".
Elder Lei heard Zeron's name. Then smiled as he walked out. He thought inwardly
( That child is going to be brilliant!)
(The head is going to like him!).
As he was walking with his face to the sun that was shining its entire glory on his body. He thought. (I just hope he survives the ruthless cultivation world!).
