Synopsis
The blood of the covenant is stronger than the water of the womb. Gerrod's journey begins with the loss of the one person he ever called family. Where his journey of revenge will take him? Not even he is sure. All he knows is that they will pay and the cost of crossing him and that isn't something anyone can ever escape. Be it Hell or Heaven, Immortals or Gods, he will come for his due. Such is the man known as the Fist God, Gerrod Dradir. --- Updates will usually be about 1 every 2 days, could change depending on support for this though. I'm highly enjoying writing this and I hope you all enjoy!

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

In a small city somewhere in the middle of North America a young man is currently being faced down by a monster.

It's completely pitch black with no details other than the slit which can only be assumed to be a mouth.

'Its body is smooth,' Gerrod thinks calmly from his position against the wall, 'there are worse ways to die.'

He smirks and the creature strikes.

Dropping low Gerrod sinks an elbow into its center and sends it into the wall.

He kicks, the creature smirks and opens its mouth but Gerrod stops just before and kicks out with his other leg.

'Low intellect.' He thinks disgustedly, 'What is this stupid thing?'

It charges forward with its mouth open and arms out screeching as it does so.

Gerrod shakes his head and drops low then comes up like a comet slamming into it's core once again, this time he doesn't give it a moment to breathe, and as it falls he brings up his knee.

A crisp crack sounds out and black ooze comes out of it's head.

It twitches.

Gerrod stomps it's head finishing it off.

"Hm?" He sees the things abyss like blood evaporates and flow into his chest forming a fang necklace tattoo.

The fang is the very sharp and at the very tip is a small amount of black substance akin to the creatures blood.

"It's slowly going down?" Gerrod touches his chest slightly, "I can feel my body... sucking it in...?"

The blood of the creature finished being absorbed into the fang and with the end of the absorption, the body disappeared.

'What the hell is happening, exactly?' Gerrod scratched his head and looked back at his bed longingly, 'A night terror probably.'

He shook his head and went back to sleep, closing his door this time.

The night passes peacefully and once he wakes up he immediately checks his chest only to find that the tattoo is still there, the only difference being that there's nothing inside the fang now.

"I'm going nuts." He mutters casually with a thick yawn.

'Just forget about it and it should go... away... what the fuck is that?' Gerrod turns the corner out of his room to find another creature like the one from last night completely motionless in the middle of his apartment.

It's slowly turning around.

Gerrod rushes forward and slams it from behind.

It starts screaming and clawing but it can't reach him, he drops a flurry of elbows onto the back of the creature's head until it stops moving.

Once again he watches as the blood evaporated and flows into the fang necklace.

He tries to put his hand over the fang but it's no use, the smoke doesn't care for his hand.

"Aaaa...." Gerrod flicked his head and rushed to the window.

He lives on the fifth story of the 'Golden Garde' a high-class sounding apartment building which is in reality a den for fighters.

Those on the fourth and fifth floors are the actual fighters who are given lodge and meals to fight in the games of the rich people above.

His eyes widen and he mutters, "What in the name of fuck is happening down there? Why is everything on fire?"

Quickly he turns and puts on his hand wraps as well as grabbing a pistol and bulletproof vest he had bought many years ago.

Back then everyone called him crazy telling him it was 'Just bare-knuckle fighting you won't need that'.

He strode to the door and peeked out of the door hole.

'Four.' He thought calmly, 'Shit why did I have to be so damn good?'

Those of greater skills are on higher floors and the fifth floor is the highest floor.

"Help me!!" A woman's scream.

'Hell no.' Gerrod brushed it off and prepared to open the door.

Pew! Pew! Pew!

'Automatic going off in the hallway? Nevermind that route then.' He immediately stopped and turned back to the window, 'Damn it.'

"The ground is littered with those creatures." He held his head, "Maybe the answer is to wait."

He moved the couch to the door and then took a seat by his t.v watching from his bed.

Flicking through the channels there was nothing on but the prerecorded porn and some advertisements.

"Warning! Warning! Warning! There has been a mass terrorist attack. Stay indoors. Do not go outside. Stay Indoors. Do not exit your homes. Stay in..door...s...do...not..-" The t/v flickered for a moment but it quickly went out.

"What..." Gerrod laid down starring at the ceiling.

BANG!

He shot up straight as a rod and rushed to his door looking through the peephole.

"Gerrod! It's me! Let me in!" Jeffery, a fighting pal of Gerrod's shouted from the other side of the door.

"Just wait!" Gerrod quickly moved the couch and let Jeffery in.

Just as he got inside Jeffery slammed the door behind him and leaned hard against it while Gerrod locked it and put the couch back.

"What the hell is happening out there?!" Gerrod half shouted as he put his hand out.

Jeffery leans back starring at Gerrod for a few moments, "They almost killed me thinking I was one of those things because of my color man... I almost fucking died, thank you man."

"Shit." Gerrod picked him up and the two sat at the balcony overlooking the city.

"...It's hell out there..." Jeffery began as he leaned forward with his head in his hands, "...people killing each other like lives don't matter, it's a god damned war and those things don't fear gunfire but run to it, you can bring down lots of them but... they just get back up after a while and swarm you down."

"What are the floors below looking like?" Gerrod leans back with a stoic look in his eye.

"Hell." Jeffery replied suddenly grabbing his arm blood seeping between his fingers, "Do you believe in the afterlife, Drad?"

Gerrod Dradir, his friend call him Drad.

Gerrod looked over and dropped his coffee reaching for Jefferies's arm but was swatted away, "Why?"

Jeffery stoop up and looked over the edge with a smile, "These things... if they manage to hurt you it's like poison... it turns you into a fleshy monster... I just wanted to know if... I could make it to heaven..."

He reached for the rail.

Gerrod shot forward to stop him but he had already gone over the rail.

"Don't wait up..." He voiced as he fell.

"...Don't wait up...? Damn it..." Gerrod replied as he fell to his knees.

Before fights friends will usually say this to one another since death can be right around the corner for an underground bare-knuckle fighter in case one dies the other is meant to live long.

To live long for the friend who died.

"Damn it! Jeff!" Gerrod punched the ground but no matter how much he did he couldn't make the frustration go away.

He felt a burning rage in his heart.

'I want to hurt something.' He thought coldly turning to the door, 'So what if I die?'

Gerrod slowly shuffled to the door and with one hand flipped the couch away.

'The gunfire has stopped for a while now...' He though randomly as he opened the door.

At his feet, several of the abyssal beings lay riddles with gunfire but they slowly heal right before his very eyes.

Gerrod stomped each of them brutally.

The fang fills up a small amount with each strike.

'It's warm ...is that you? Jeff?' He slowly moved through the hallway crushing the skulls of the incapacitated and weighlaying any of the moving ones within only a few moves.

The more he struck them down the warmer he began to feel and the sadder he became.

Memories surged through his mind back to the first day he met Jeffery, his first and last best friend, like a real brother.

They met in the ring.

"Hey Newbie, you're with me." Jeffery said arrogantly his build much larger than Gerrods by a good fifty pounds as well as more experienced.

Gerrod said nothing and followed.

Once the bell rang the two closed the distance, both of them being very aggressive fighters it was instantly a brutal show of force.

However at the end unlike what the viewers thought, the two had gone even and knocked each other out, something that happens so rarely it might as well be called a legendary end to a match.

Most attributed the end of the match to Jeff's arrogant carelessness.

After that, the two got to know each other better and sparred more as rivals and friends.

Gerrod was quickly recognized as a prodigy in fighting while Jeffery was cast aside after having lost two straight matches to Gerrod proving that it wasn't carelessness.

He was never mad though, instead he became Gerrod's greatest supporter and friend, even in the end he didn't go to see family, he didn't try and escape the city, he had come to find Gerrod and spend those moments with him even though it cost him his life.

And in the end, he killed himself to keep Gerrod safe.

Tears flowed like rivers in Gerrods eyes as the memories continued to flood him, his heart if one listened closely could be heard falling apart.

By now he reached the stairs where many of the abyss beings were clustered together.

"Don't... wait... up..." He felt stifled as he said these words.

The creatures turned to him and screeched.

He bowed his head for a moment and the tears turned from those of immense sadness and depression into tears of blood.

Ones burning for revenge.

"How dare you take my brother..." He grabbed the first one by the throat and crushed it, "...my family is dead because of you..."

A nightmarish grey aura pulsed from his body as he jumped down the steps with the creature in his hand as a shield.

Many of the creatures were crushed under his weight and unable to move turning into fodder for him to crush.

"...I'll leave none of you left... I'll crush everything you love... I'll take it all." The grey aura shot up in ferocity like an open flame.

The creatures swarmed up the stairs but he didn't care.

Using the same strategy he crushed the next batch, and the next batch, and the next...

By the time he noticed he had already reached the bottom floor which had been mostly cleared by the security using their arms.

Gerrod walked forward and the security immediately aimed but didn't fire, "The Fist God?!"

"Stop!" A young guard shouted.

Gerrod glanced at him and stomped the head of a creature beneath him.

"Don't fire!" The older guard lowered his weapon, "That is the prodigy Fist God, Gerrod Dradir, he defeated the Sky Fist Jeffery Thompson and crushed the Shadow Fist Kril Laga."

"So? He's still just unarmed!" The young guard raised his gun once more, "Stop moving right now or I'll fire!"

The older guard sighed, "He is a VIP of the club, I can't let you shoot him."

The young man felt cold metal meet his skull and fell after a short pause.

He lay dead.

"Sir." He turned and bowed to Gerrod fearfully, "How did you make it down from the higher floors? Is it safe?"

Gerrod stood at the doors of the building looking at something through the glass.

He didn't even glance back as he nodded.

"Thank you, thank you!" The old guard rushed up the stairs.

'Sky Fist Jeffery Thompson.' Gerrod opened the door and walked forward at a slow gait, 'My brother and only family.'

He kneeled at the side of his corpse, it's mangled and broken.

Gerrod's tears were dry as he picked up the mangled body of his brother bringing him over to the front garden of the building.

Most of his insides had fallen out, his entrails were everywhere, his bowls had discharged but Gerrod cared not for any of it.

He laid his brother in the center of the field and gathered his internal organs that fell out putting them back with him.

The creatures which attacked were all killed quite quickly now that Gerrod had their attack patterns learned.

As the city burned, people died and buildings fell around him Gerrod buried his friend without a care of any of it.

"I can't even mark you're grave." Gerrod put his hand down atop the pile of dirt leaving his palm mark, "I hope you will rest in the heaven you wished for."

'I'm afraid for what I'm about to do... I won't be able to come see you anymore.' Gerrod slowly stood gathering the attention of the flesh monsters, creatures and people alike.

A lonely figure standing in a field. His victims lay at his feet. His nightmarish aura coiling out wildly like a powerful flame in a hurricane.

Such is the figure of Gerrod Dradir, the one known as the Fist God.
