Chapter 1 - ! BEFORE YOU READ !

WARNING

Please understand that I do not intend to hurt anyone when they read this. This story is to educate further for the reader on mental health regards (bipolar, depression, etc.) and involves languages involving self-harming. DO NOT continue to read this story if you are heavily triggered by these factors. This story also has mild language.

WHY ARE YOU WRITING THIS?

This story was supposed to be the starting point of my writing career (professionally), but the publishing company I had intended to collaborate with had run out of business due to the current coronavirus pandemic. I thought all hope was lost until I fell into this deep oblivion of depression, thinking that my ambition will never get the chance. However, I drove that feeling into a character — a mirroring image of what I'm partially going through. Hence, LYTLM//L was created.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM THIS STORY?

As a writer, I do not expect anything from the readers, even good reviews. Though that may sound like a pity-beg, I'm truly honest - I'm a pessimist, it takes time for me to believe people when my story is 'good'. This story, regardless, focuses more on the awareness of mental health and the implications it has when the wrong conversation can hurt someone or when something terrible happens to that person in general. I just want to spread awareness on this topic while I can still write and breathe, and while I can still function as a human being. It may not be necessary, but I'm a huge believer in helping those in need, no matter how mild or severe their cases are.
