Chapter 9 - Special Chapter #1

Baal's POV

Every time the sun sets, I used to pass by the sacred room to check my master's spring day by day. However, since I can't see any progress to it, I was so used to seeing it completely dried up- being lifeless.

The spring was like that for several years now... until that day finally came when I saw it glowing for the very first time after several years, or decades, of waiting the moment I opened up the doors of the sacred room. I quickly made my way towards the spring.

I'm sure that my master, Deity Morrel, has a very important message to say at this moment!

"Baal..." I heard my master called out for me in her usual gentle voice..

"Here I am master." I immediately responded, slightly bowing my head as a sign of my respect.

"I want you to be ready for the arrival of a young deity tonight in this temple. I want you to take good care of this child, and guide her as she grows up." she gently instructed.

"I will." I responded

"This young deity is not just any ordinary deity that you'll see. She was made to fulfill a remarkable prophecy in the future. So therefore, you must do everything that you can to teach her everything that you know about magic, and protect her by all means."

"So that when the right time came for her to know about the prophecy that she is about to fulfill, she will then be equipped with enough knowledge and magic skills to overcome trials that will surely come."

I bowed again as my response.

"I will master, if that's what you want me to do."

***

Our conversation didn't take that long because the white light surrounding the area soon disappeared and the once lively spring became lifeless and all dried up once more.

After I left the sacred room, I did as my master instructed me to do. I stood by the door, patiently waiting for a young deity to arrive here any minute from now.

As the darkness took over the skies above, during that night... I indeed saw a young deity arrived at the temple grounds- the one who was destined to fulfill my master's prophecy,

And the one destined to save mankind.
