They say that whoever has direct contact with the black crystal shall be susceptible to do evil. He or she, regardless if it is a deity or a mortal, will be subject to having black magic that could be used to do evil being possessed by its dark powers.
If Aiden's theory is right, that the Church is using this against us, to show to the mortals that we are indeed capable of doing evil using our powers, then we must find first the source of the said crystal. With that being eradicated and sealed forever, that's the time we could all move to execute our plan towards bringing down the church, together with its Pope, once and for all.
In that way, we can finally gain the peaceful and harmonious kingdom that we have all been wishing for.
