I was laying on the bed, lost in my own thoughts when I heard footsteps heading towards me, I thought it was the prince so I got up and started fixing my hair with a smile on my face when the person came forth it was a normal palace guard, I watched him curiously, he took out keys from his back pocket and started unlocking my cell, I was going to ask what was going on but he bet me tp it and said, '' the king has requested your presence to the dining room, your highness ''.
I was utterly confused, '' why would the king want me in the dining room- wait did you call me your highness '', '' yes princess please follow me '', I was so confused, but looking at the guard he didn't look like he knew much either, I silently got up and followed the guard, a bunch of the prisoners cat-calling me on my way out, I follow the guard to a hallway where there was a beautiful woman, who I remembered seeing in the courtroom, so I figured she was a lady of the court when she saw me she curtsied which confused me further than I already was considering I should be doing that, she got up and looked at me saying,
''good evening princess, my name is chaeyoung but people call me rose you can call me what you like'', ''I'm sorry there must be a misunderstanding, you see I'm not a princess'', '' ah so it's true you do know nothing, well don't worry I will tell you everything you need to know'', after seeing the confusion on my face she held my hand softly and said, ''need not worry princess I shall tell you everything'', the reassuring smile she wore made me want to follow her where ever she led me, she dismissed the guard, and led me to a room, when entering the room, I saw two more women standing their both stunningly beautiful, they both were conversing with each other, their trance was broken when Rose spoke again, '' this will be your room for now ''
the lady looked at me both immediately dropping into a respectful bow, both saying 'your highness', I just stood there and bowed back, rose still had a smile on her face and she motioned her hands towards me and said, '' isn't she just breathtaking'', my cheeks were sure as red as the blood-red curtains in the room, '' she is, we all have heard of your beauty, princess but I have to say words did not do you justice'', one of them replied while the other node in agreement, '' my name is Jisoo, your highness and this is Jennie'' she motioned behind her the lady gave a sweet smile, I felt super insecure around these beautiful ladies especially considering my clothes were the ones that were provided by the prison, while they all wore amazing gowns that highlighted all their figures perfectly, like the dresses were made for them personally, considering their status as ladies of the court I'm sure they were.
with my head bowed and cheeks red, I gave them my name as well, they must have seen my nervousness, a hand landed on my shoulder and gave me a reassuring pat before resting there when I looked up it lady Jisoo with a smile, '' we can understand that this might be a very stressful situation for you, considering you don't know what's going on, we will explain everything and then make you feel comfortable, consider us your friends from now own'', she said speaking for the other two ladies in the room as well who both looked at me from behind Jisoo with a smile, Jennie replied with, '' yes that is right, consider us your friends', next to her rose started jumping ad clapping her hands in excitement, '' ohhhhhh I was just saying we need another girl in our friend group''
All of this was made me smile, and for a second I forgot to wonder why I was here rather I was glad, back in town I never made any female friends, this felt nice.
'' Okay so'' rose clapped her hands, catching everyone's attention, '' let's make you a Princess'', her excitement making everyone smile.
but before I could that could happen I interjected, ''before that could someone please tell me what's happening'', I said in a desperate voice, '' yes, of course'', replied Jisoo.
She led me to the bed and told me to sit down, I did as I was told and all the girls surrounded me with Jennie sitting on my left and rose sitting on my right, and Jisoo kneeling in front of me, and she told me all she knew starting with how my uncle and apparently another uncle and aunt came and ended with how I was a princess, I was very astonished, but I wasn't so sure how to react, how was a person supposed to react, it wasn't new news to me that my parent's marriage wasn't loved by everyone, but learning I'm a princess was something I hadn't excepted.
I was pulled out of my thoughts when I felt a hand on my shoulder, turning my head towards the person it was Jennie, who a sympathetic face, '' are you okay, I can imagine this very shocking news'', ''yes I'm fine I just had never excepted to hear such news'', I replied cradling my head between my hands.
''I want to meet my uncle'', I said lifting my head, ''of course they are all waiting for you in the living room'', Jennie said, I nodded my head getting up followed by everyone else, ''you go take a bath while I and the girls will get your clothes ready, everything you will need is present in the bathroom, but if you need anything else just ask, we all will be waiting for you right outside the room and then we all shall go to the living room with you, hmmm'' rose said with a hand behind my back leading me to the bathroom, I simply nodded in response.
