Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

"Open your eyes child, you're safe here." A soft female voice said. I blink my eyes open a couple of times trying to clear the blurriness. I try moving my fingers first testing and expecting to be met with pain but when none came, I move my hands. I bring my hands to my face touching my nose and mouth expecting to see blood. I pull my hand back but see no blood on my fingers. I try sitting up slowly waiting for the pain when none came. I look around me and gasp in awe.

Where am I? I look up at the sky, it is very blue and there is not a cloud in site. I look towards the beach shore and see the waves splash as the tide comes and goes. The sun is brighter than ever and extremely high up in the sky letting me know it is past noon. I turn around and am met with very wild looking woods. Something in me pulls me towards them, I walk in and immediately hear the little creatures lurking around. I feel a weird sense of piece, calm and safe heaven.

The more I enter, I notice that these woods do not resemble any I have ever seen. It looks so wild, uncommon and untouched by the hands of men. Breath taking… "You must be confused?" a gentle male voice says from my right, I turn quickly towards him and cover a scream from my mouth in fright. He keeps walking towards me, and I back away from him. His aura took my breath away and makes my heart drop to my stomach in fear.

He glows a bright red and golden color, something in me whispers to not make him angry. He reeks of wisdom and anger. He is a huge muscular brute of a man, that can crush me without breaking a sweat, he did not wear a shirt which put all his battle scars on display for everyone to see. His chest is covered in them, they look jagged and angry, they had to have been deep wounds to scar this way. His wasted blue jeans hung low on his hips, teasing to the eyes.

He looks as if he was passed through a wringer, been through hell and back. The way he carries himself lets you know he is not the type to be messed with. His head is covered by long black dreadlocks that he left lose down his back. His skin is the color of rich creamy black without a blemish in site besides his scars. His eyes drew you in, like a moth to a flame. You can't take your eyes away from his, they captivated me, the color bright swirling gold and they glowed with mischief.

With every step he took, I took three back. I do not know him and quite frankly I do not trust him. He leans against a tree ten feet away from me, noticing my insistent need to get away from him. He smirks at me mischievously, as if he knew something I did not. "Where am I?" I ask confused and afraid. How in the world did I get here? I tug on my hair and hug myself. The last thing I remember is dying by the hands of my mother. "You already know the answer to that question, don't you?" a soothing female voice said from my left.

Her aura suffocated me, I felt as if my body forgot how to breathe on its own, the closer she got the worse I felt. She is beautiful, she reeks of love and compassion but the anger coming from her made my bladder want to betray my body. Every fiber in me cowers away from her, wanting me to kneel and show my neck in submission. Her long straight jet-black hair was lose behind her back, her white creamy skin made her look gentle but the scars on her arms told another story.

She has a long white dress on, it hugs her curves like a second skin and made her look like an angel. Her eyes are the color of aqua blue, you see the color swirl like the angry waves of the ocean water telling you a story by themselves. She has seen too much and knows more than she has been given credit for. The wisdom that reeks off her pores tells you she is not as young and youthful as she is perceived. She knows and has lived enough to become a force to be reckoned with.

"You intrigued me, Analiah…" she says as she slowly walks around me, assessing me. "I thought you had a lot more fight in you." She sighs saddened. I narrow my eyes in confusion, I turn towards the male and he shrugs his shoulders. He is not going to be of any help to me, I see. "What are you talking about?" I ask confused. "I had my eyes on you… from the moment you took your first breath…" she says as she keeps walking as if speaking to herself. She turns her back to me and sighs in disappointment.

"I thought you would have been a good asset to my children. The way life was shaping you, mmm… the outcome would have been glorious…" she says shaking her head as if she had lost something valuable. "But you…" she chuckles, "You gave up to easily." She says as if speaking to a petulant child. "I admired your good heart, always seeing the glass as if half full knowing its almost empty. That even though you were dealt with the short straw from fate time and time again, you kept hoping for a change." She growls in anger.

"You tainted your heart!" she growls disappointed, "I do not need another bitter female amongst my children." She hisses shaking her head. I'm consumed with the need to cry and I don't know why. Everything in me wants me to bend over backwards and find a way to make her proud of me. Who are they? "I want her." An angry female voice came from behind the first one.
