Back to the present
"Edel, if you're hearing this, looks like I kept my promise, didn't I?" Claude said to himself as he knocked out yet another Humanoid. "I protected our kid and even watched him turn into a fine young man. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll live long enough to walk him down the aisle like you wanted" Claude grunted in the middle as he said the last word in his sentence.
A few moments ago, there was only a small space between the Resistance and the Horde of Humanoids but now, that small space was filled to the brim with a mountain of humanoid corpses. Scar, Grey, and Macau, the Maint Attackers of the Resistance, tried to support Claude as much as they could but they could only go so far until they let their adrenaline took over. By now, they were just mindless machines with countless bruises and gashes. They had no fear in their eyes as they kept pressuring the unrelenting humanoids.
