"Daring today, aren't we?" Head Cipher calmly responded as his smile got wider. However, underneath the mask he was wearing, he and Fengari were getting a little bit nervous since they can't afford the key to kill himself.
By key, they meant Ilios. Red is but a vessel that held the key and Head Cipher couldn't care less for Red to die. As long as Ilios remains intact, they could proceed to the plan.
Still, what bothered Head Cipher and Fengari was the fact that Red pointed at his neck instead of somewhere else. They could tell that Red knew he would kill Ilios and himself if he damaged his nervous system. And that's the reason why Head Cipher couldn't help but feel nervous.

Red immediately pressed the metal shard deeper into his neck when Head Cipher didn't take him up on his offer. Slowly, blood dripped from the larynx area of Red's neck (He intended to stab himself straight through, severing his head and irreparably damaging his spinal cord.)
