The next day was somehow just as worse as last night. The ground was heavily drenched in rainwater and there was a little bit of flood flowing through it. Aside from that, the clouds were still as heavy as ever. There was no chance that the rain would let up any sooner.
Early morning, Red woke up way earlier than the others but unlike the previous days where he gets up and heads to the top floor to contact Wilder Barnes, he stayed lying down. The reason was not something anyone would've expected, however.
"What is she doing?" Red asked himself as he tried to break free from Curl's bear-like grip from behind him.
The first time Red realized it was when he felt the intense cold winds blowing to them. Even with their blankets on, he could tell that it was unusually cold. It was to be expected though since there was a storm. However, amidst the coldness of the surroundings, Red felt warm and that woke him up.
